Kintamayama 44,639 Posted November 9, 2010 Kotoshougiku injured his head yesterday in training, but was back today with vigor, facing Kotooushuu 10 times. Kotoshougiku, who is slated to face the Yokozuna and hopes to stop him, said , "Even Hakuhou has his weakness. If someone comes out at him hard and fast.. I'd like to step out well at the tachiai. Beating him and stopping the record run is akin to an Ozeki promotion.."
Tom 0 Posted November 9, 2010 (edited) As much as I'd like to see Hakuho break Futabayama's record, I'd personally love it if Kotoshogiku stopped his run. Edited November 9, 2010 by Tom
alpineviolet 0 Posted November 9, 2010 I can't make up my mind. I really like Hakuho, but I'm usually more of an underdog fan. So I'd like to see him beat the record, but if he doesn't, I think it would be most exciting to see a maegashira break his streak. (Clapping wildly...) Kintamayama 44,639 Posted November 10, 2010 Goueidou, back from his punishment Juryo stint, is suffering from a left knee injury sustained during the fall jungyo. He did have three bouts against visiting Hakuhou today, even beating him once. "I managed a few bouts with Hakuhou at least..," he said. "I'm worried about my left knee, but I have no choice but do my best," he concluded.
Blue_Wolf 24 Posted November 10, 2010 Beating Hakuho with injured knee is very promising signal, isn't it?

I'd just love to see someone break Futabayama's pre-war record as many thought it couldn't be done in modern times.
