50th all Japan college championships

The 50th All Japan college championships were held in Usa, Oita. Nittaidai beat Nichidai 3-2 in the team competition finals for their second yusho ( first in three years). In the individual contest, Nichidai's Yamaguchi (third year, Tottori Johoku) beat Nittaidai's Matsunaga (4th year, Atsushi Omatsudo??) by oshidashi, thereby capturing his first yusho.

Apparently the major results more or less mirrored those of a tourney held in Uwajima last week, which also saw Yamaguchi take the individual title and Nittaidai the team victory (beating Nichidai en route there too, not sure whether in the final or earlier).
