Day 3 results and day 4 pairings

Recommended Posts

Kakizoe beating Sekiwake Kotomitsuki was the only upset in the Sanyaku ranks today. Surprisingly Tochiazuma withdrew from the basho with a shoulder dislocation he suffered in a win against Tochinonada on day 4 in Hatsu. He got a fusensho on day 5 and won days 6 to 8 for a 7-1 first week. The shoulder dislocation seems to be of the "self-worsening" type as he then had difficulties putting a 9-6 kachi-koshi together, and now, eight weeks after the dislocation has to go kyujo. At this rate, will he even have two arms in Natsu?

Otsukasa, Kasugao, Gojoro, Takanowaka and Sumanofuji are the early Juryo leaders and all but Takanowaka are looking strong. Hamanishiki isn't looking healthy while the other winless Juryo rikishi probably only have injured pride.

You know, I think my Sumo Game opponent yesterday knew about Tochiazuma's kyujo somehow (Applauding...) That's why he put Miyabiyama at the #1 slot, ahead of Asashoryu, and that ended up being the tiebreaker in our match. (In a bad mood...) (Sigh...) :-) Good tactics and patience on his behalf, however.

Yeah, that seems unfair sometimes. To have extra sources of information, e.g. local news updated every few minutes...

Good time zone rather (Sigh...)

You could always wake up in the crack of dawn to play your sumo games. Who needs sleep when you can win the Bench Sumo Yusho..........?

(I am not worthy...)

:-P

Does anyone else think that Kaiho can whip Toki's @$$ tomorrow and start feeling a bit more confident about prolonging his Makuuchi career?

i sure hope so.........
