Rijicho

New staff

Recommended Posts

Kaikitsune Makoto is the new rijicho.

He might be right now offline but will undoubtedly come soon back. I can only be reached via him if need be but slowly. One day I might come back but as for now, I can't really tell. It remains to be seen.

Kaikitsune is assisted by three new moderators, viz. Exil, Manekineko & Yoavoshimaru who can access a common, new staff subforum invisible to others. Please support the new staff as you have supported me. Thank You.

Thanks to those who volunteered their services for moderation, financial help etc. You are very much appreciated even if I had to reject your offer this time.

Even if I have to go offline for now, my love for sumo does not diminish. It still is a thing of beauty to me and will remain so. (Heart)

I'll just continue Kotoseiya's way and forum will not have any visible change due to his temporary or permanent retirement from active Rijicho-duty. Been here since the dawn of the forum so in that sense there is no difference but technically I have much less experience and skill which can cause some delay or staggering baby steps in administrating. Especially if something goes wrong. Luckily there are people to ask for an advice if needed so in general there should not be any clitch in the functional part of the forum. It seems to be like a good jumbojet anyway and fly itself quite well on its own. Hijackers will be dealt with determination and roughness.

One minor thing I would like to suggest. Since this forum has become more and more active with some heavy traffic on some days, it would be nice if completely empty chat-messages would be limited a bit. This doesn't mean that thanking other members would be discouraged or even these sole emoticon messages indicating an emotion (logical it is that an emoticon indicates an emotion!) but it means certain off-topic chat-blurps that sometimes occur in some threads could be limited. This is not a problem yet but since development to that direction has taken place to some degree, it would be nice to see the phenomenon kept in control before its capacity increases.

Polemics and even provoking is not frowned upon. Opinions can be as strong as they are, nobody needs to be wary of their opinions in any aspect of sumo (and in any other topics either although the ban of religion and politics naturally prevents those heated topics from emerging) and provoking a response from other forum members with a provocative post is totally ok IF the provoking is done to serve the contents of the topic and not aggressively provoking any single forum member just for the sake of provoking. The difference should be crystal clear.

Anyways, so hopefully this forum will continue its good development and everyone will feel they have a place here! I'll do my best to not cause any eyebrow tightening in Kotoseiya's face when he reads this forum from some public computer every now and then!
