Zenjimoto 40 Posted February 28, 2004 (edited) Dear sumo games fans: Well, it was kind of inevitable: with the re-introduction of the Super Banzuke Masters Series with new rules that include all sumo games players (see my previous post to this forum), the next logical step is to add up all the points earned by players' top-10 finished throughout the year, to arrive at a year-end "Sumo Games World Champion". (Eating...) Being a "World Champion" in anything is a matter of pride, but to add a little spice to it, I have decided to sponsor a trophy cup, or chalice-like thing, that will be sent to the "World Champion" at the end of the year! You can see this chalice here: http://www.anasuya.com/sb/chalice.jpg (provided the company I would order it from still carries it by the end of the year) :-) There also is a new Sumo Games World Championship page, as part of the Super Banzuke site - access it all at http://www.superbanzuke.com - links on the top. Direct link: http://www.anasuya.com/sb/sbsgwc.html You'll notice there is an opportunity to help sponsor the cup purchase by buying Kensho banners on the site :-D Just an idea I had to maybe get a few small contributions to help cover the costs, but if there are no takers, the cup will be sponsored in full by myself :-D So go and check it out - and be at your best in the games henceforth,... cause now, it's for the "World Championship"! :-D Cheers Zenjimoto Edited February 28, 2004 by Zenjimoto
Fujisan 530 Posted February 28, 2004 Since I cant access that page Zenji can you just give me a few details? Who was in the MASTERS top 10 for the last basho? And did I score any points and if so where did I figure in the standings? If I understand the rules properly I almost definately scored for Chaingang and possibly 'Sumo game' aswell but I think thats it.
Fujisan 530 Posted February 28, 2004 Sorry that message should have been on the earlier SB masters thread but you get the point though dont you?
Zenjimoto 40 Posted February 28, 2004 You scored 4 points for your Chaingang finish. In Sumo Game, only the Makuuchi results count (i.e. the "Big" Yusho and places). 84th in the standings at the moment. Cheers Z.
Fujisan 530 Posted February 28, 2004 Of course I had an idea it was- Not that the guys at the top need another feather in their indian headresses. Who did win the SB Masters at hatsu? Two loosely related questions for anyone in the know- When will the Chaingang rankings be out? And has anyone got an idea for a 'Masters' which gives a chance to us lesser gamers whos only fault is not being around long enough to get to the top divisions yet? Frinkanohana won the Hatsu 2004 Green Mawashi with Yusho in GISP and Sekitori-Oracle, as well as shared 4th place in UDH (= 37 pts), and leads the World Championship after Round 1. Don't worry about the division disadvantage - only 4 of the 16 games are affected (Bench, Roto, Juryo and Sumo Games). So there are plenty of opportunities to win this thing for all. :-P Oh, and here are the Chaingang Rankings after Hatsu 2004: 1 Gunterao 3421.22 Chiisabuke 3152.23 Furanohana 2996.54 Metzinowaka 2902.05 Thomshiki 2880.86 Kaenkamiko 2591.07 Kofuji 2495.58 Gaijingai 2455.49 Getayukata 2381.710 Tsuyuharai 2274.611 Igiski 2254.612 Rannohana 2251.913 Fujisan 2250.314 Hakaso 2248.515 Maguroyama 2199.516 Shayoto 2185.617 Daninowaka 2154.018 Doitsuyama 2153.819 Kojamuri 2153.020 Shinkansen 2146.321 Rayama 2117.322 Ullishimaru 2099.923 Frinkanohana 2088.024 Konosato 2083.425 Oshirokita 2050.726 Tsunamiko 1987.627 Manekineko 1938.128 Tzutziyama 1911.929 Heruwejima 1903.430 Hakajusakari 1887.731 Sunibono 1854.932 Flohru 1824.933 Sukubidubidu 1791.434 Heikotoriki 1781.935 Hasurami 1737.536 Gochisozan 1713.937 Gernobono 1713.838 Manatsumai 1710.839 Ketsukai 1706.540 Pastanoyama 1675.241 Hinerikeri 1658.542 Ekigozan 1651.343 Gusoyama 1635.644 Wenkoyama 1626.345 Bill 1623.346 Boltono 1609.347 Takanorappa 1602.248 Norizo 1578.949 Mariohana 1559.150 Takahike 1479.951 Mmikasazuma 1471.952 Harunochiba 1471.553 Heitaikai 1456.854 Fukurou 1436.655 Toschima 1432.556 Packamawashi 1430.357 Kashunowaka 1415.158 Anjoboshi 1406.559 Fukunoyama 1401.360 Sentoriazuma 1393.861 Kazu 1384.262 Gibmaatsuki 1331.763 Tominishiki 1313.664 Chikaraho 1311.265 Asashosakari 1267.266 Jejima 1249.767 Rowitoro 1221.968 Mattjila 1219.269 Bafa 1207.970 Sherlockiama 1200.571 Marionoumi 1181.772 Seigatakaigai 1158.373 Torideyama 1147.074 Hakusan 1115.875 Sashimaru 1106.676 Heiyu 1102.377 Azumaryu 1101.778 Zenjimoto 1064.379 Chikarayama 1061.480 Yoavoshimaru 1044.381 Naifuzan 1043.682 Mikaazuma 1030.983 Hayatemaru 1025.284 Tokimori 1020.385 Nimonju 999.986 Hoshifransu 998.887 Kaikitsune 993.588 Callimitsuki 975.889 Toki 946.090 Tamanaogijima 884.591 Feginowaka 884.292 Unibono 879.793 Kotoseiya 876.194 Kana-san 871.795 Kintamayama 863.996 Wakanowaka 857.097 Ulsimitsuki 856.398 Tomitsuki 808.899 Chijanofuji 791.8100 Chiyosifuji 786.4101 Dimitri 776.2102 Takamueda 768.6103 Hamanoyama 755.1104 Jakusotsu 753.4105 Kokomoyama 753.0106 Ryunokaze 732.0107 Ursumaru 727.2108 Yubiquitoyama 699.4109 Remonishiki 694.6110 Tameiki 691.0111 Konizan 681.6112 Unagiyutaka 680.3113 Kirinoumi 679.2114 Teiguhana 674.1115 Andoreasu 665.3116 Charliki 657.6117 Leonishiki 618.2118 Mariotoki 609.7119
Fujisan 530 Posted February 29, 2004 (edited) Hmmmm, three of the unnaffected games are my best games(Rotosumo,Juryo game,Sumo game)-Just my luck isnt it. Good job I have my Chaingang standing firm right now- I have my eye on the No1 spot after my jump of 26 places this time. Congratulations to Frinkanohana. Thanks Zenji.
