20% of voters choosing "No idea" or "Kotomitsuki" seemed strange, until I remembered that about 30% of Americans thought George W. Bush was doing a good job right until the end.

At least the people who chose "Kaio (no yaocho)" got to deny the OBSC, while still choosing the obvious result. A sly position, that one is.

I don't mean or want to be so antagonistic on the forum, but I just can't believe some people still deny the trend right in front of their faces. I wish betting was allowed on the forum so that I could rob them blind.

I assure you that being stubborn for whatever reason and putting money where your mouth is are two different thing entirely.. OTOH, many people believe the 2000K bug was real, the world will end in 2012, and the Cubs will win the World Series.

The Y2K bug was real. It was prevented by the work of who-knows-how-many programmers who patched the software. If nobody had patched the software, you'd have seen some trouble, though probably not apocalyptic.

As for the betting, I'd even give odds. 5-1, 10-1, doesn't matter, just put up that money on the Kotomitsuki win! (Laughing...)

Am I bleeding? Didn't notice. Checking for blood.... nope. Seems I'm just always right on this issue. I'd say the bleeders are the ones who still think it's legit and don't know the match outcome in advance. A bleeder might also be one who has had enough of hearing of this, but keeps clicking on the threads anyway. Also, I fail to see how this is different from your constant efforts to convince people that the Mongols are trading yushos. You're known as Mr. Conspiracy. If I'm bleeding, then you are too. But I wouldn't say either of us is, even though I am not convinced of your Mongol hypothesis.

You know as well as we do that no proof will ever surface, as only a confession would do. And if a confession is made after retirement of one guy, it would be attributed to his bitterness or an attempt to get a book deal.

Don't regret, just bet the right way next time. Unfortunately, there WILL be a next time.

Just scroll back to two months ago and you'll find me saying exactly what I would be saying now (and, since hope springs eternal, will be saying again now). Don't tell me what I know or don't know. The proof exists in the form of an audio tape, I'm told. On that tape discussions between identifiable oyakatas about the planned yaocho schemes can reportedly be heard. Somebody, just leak the tape and let's be done with it.

I certainly don't know that truth about the existence of yaocho. Therefore I don't make claims about it. As long as the so-called proof is solely about mathemagical calculations (of which I, as an idiot, don't understand anything anyway) I'll continue ignoring the alleged yaocho as a factor in sumo gaming. I might be a stupid, old fart but at least I'm not cynical.
