Kazafuzan, due to persistent injury, continues to tumble down the banzuke... I hope he can recoup soon...

Tosayutaka eeked out a KK in his Makunouchi debut! Keep working hard, Tosa!

5-2 for skinny Czech Takanoyama, who will be at his highest banzuke ranking ever, and within spitting distance of Juryo!!! (I am not worthy...)

3-4 for Daiseiho, who looks like he's going to wallow around where he is for a while. He's a smart boy though, and hopefully will use his brain to help him move up in the ranks.

Mankajo got his first KK (4-3) in makushita.

He is progressing slowly but surely (I am not worthy...)

Jk29w, Aisaka, finished 7-0, with a yusho in the jonokuchi division! (I am not worthy...) Looks like he's off to a great start after finishing mae zumo and his first basho with two KK's (not to mention finishing both times with 0 loses) (Showing respect...)

My two guys had mixed results for this basho.

Hitachigo, at Sd53e, started with a win but sunk to 2-4 before pulling out another win on senshuraku. He has been stuck in mid-Sandanme for the last 16 bashos, and he shows no signs of a breakout in either direction.

Homarefuji had spent the last year in mid-Makushita until he went kyujo for the whole May basho and dropped to Sd27e. I have no information on why he was kyujo. Whatever the problem was, it seems to have been solved. He went to 6-0 this basho before dropping his final match to Fukunohana who, in turn, went on to lose the ketteisen. It will be interesting to see if the kyujo fix will get him back on the fast track he started out on.

After going from 0-2 to 4-2, Wakamatsuo concluded his Jonokuchi debut with 4-3 on an overall positive note. It'll be interesting for me to watch his further proceedings.

I am very happy about my li'll Saio. (Sign of approval...)

Tokushinho should just eke his way into the bottom of the paid ranks with a 4-3 record from Ms2W. Omedetou! (Sign of approval...)
