tummai 0 Posted March 22, 2009 Howdy. I was watching the basho the other day and they showed some kid in the crowd with a cool Harumafuji shirt on. I don't remember exactly, but it was pretty simple. Like a black shirt with white kanji 日馬富士 on it. I wish I had a screenshot or video to show you guys, but I don't. I do know that it was on Day 6, somewhere in the middle (like around Kokkai's match). You can specify if you want the kanji in the centre of the shirt, over the left breast, on the sleeve...horizontal or vertical. If interested let me know by PM. Interesting that you can find things other than shirt there (witness the boxers). You can also submit your own design there. The face is stock clip-art material, and from a distance, it looks like some poor guy in an overcoat running down some alleyway looking desperately for a bathroom. If you missed the "Harumafuji" name running down the side, you'd never guess who it was. Maybe it was done in jest and deliberately stylized, and it might appeal to lots of people, but if I was buying a Harumafuji shirt, shorts, whatever other many items with that image, I'd kinda want it to maybe LOOK like him, ya know? Click on the link you (provided) and you will find in the sign in the image that says "to the grand sumo stadium". And maybe a little more serious? You can buy one with the actual picture of Harumafuji printed on. You have to do better than this-provide cartoon images that LOOK like him either from other cartoonists or from yourself then let's make comparison from there. Yet another "make $$" scheme. Someone posted a link and you said the shopkeeer is out to make your money, but I can tell you no one is pointing a gun to you to force you to buy, not me anyway. Really (eyelids batting, eyelids batting)? Rikishi plus mawashi plus"overcoar" equals a flasher. The black and white photo of yourself in the profile is horrid if it is done by ownself then you don't even have the basic skill to get an image out. Check out the ones sold in the Kokugikan shops during basho time, and all year round, out of season, at the stall in the chaya entrance hall. The gold-on-black are very elegant and my 'Kaio' one still looks good after several years; the same kind also come in black-on-white. Cost, if memory serves, a bit over 1,000 yen but only sold at sumo venues I think. Apologies if someone else has already given this reply -- not much time to scroll down today. I have finally found the shirt in question for Tom but the result is not good! I managed to be standing in a small group of people and realized they were wearing this shirt on senshuraku. They were all handmade by one lady! I even asked her to make one and pay her but she said it was impossible.. why? who knows? maybe she would want to charge a fortune or maybe they want to be exclusive??! The shirt is very cool!!!! Asasshosakari must remember I was not banned but walk out of this forum myself. It is not right to say that I was at war with the forum. Asashosakari will have to confirm if I am at war with the forum. If it is positive then Asashosakari with 8429 post is assuming he is the owner of this web. To recap Asashosakari and a few others joined the fray when I had an argument with a poster Ja------. So I had a tiff with this small group who in the first place were attacking me in 2005 In Asashosakari's case he is on the" likeness beyond commonly accepted limits with his caricatures" In my case " likeness beyond commonly accepted limits with his statistics" I rebutted that being a top poster is spending too much time in irrelevant , non practical statistics. His statistics are unlike useful statistics elsewhere. I further added that no one is bothered with this long lengthy, time-consuming statistics. To which he replied that he couldn't be bothered if none reads. How crazy I thought, this fella is! Asashosakari after a span of four (sorry quoted 5 year bitchnot the 7year itch)years decides on resurfacing this now. Hopefully he can be of help by showing me cartoons of others or explain to me how I went wrong and those "likeness" stuff. Make me understand will you! I will be very accomodating I can teach him how to write good statistics for example like a) Sumo forum against bennyloh or (b)Asashshosakari with 8429 postings and a small gang against bennyloh. Provide details like member size, gender , age etc as expected of a good statistics. In the past when I walk off from this forum I did it because it is a small group out of the majority of members using pseudonym (majority 90 over% are civilised)and I hate to be known picking an argument with unknowns. It does not make sense to me. It still is. I am walking out of sumoforum after this soon The last time I told the moderators I have much respect for Sumoforum and if I walk off this time I would do the same to the moderators and wish them well.
