Currently, Zentoryu keeps second place in virtual standings, but with Ryuo probably being kyujo for the rest of the basho, ultimately someone else will be vying for the runner-up position. My rank estimates are too coarse-grained to know whether Asashosakari's Hoshikaze (4-3 projection from Ms15) or the Ri duet of Asafan and Doitsuyama (5-2 projection from Ms21) would keep the upper hand. Closest pursuers are asafan and Doitsuyama who would be ranked around Ms6 if Ri finishes 6-1, and Ms1 or Ms2 if he goes zensho. My pick for best pick of this wave is Mattjila.
