Randomitsuki 2,900 Posted November 14, 2008 Standings after day 6: This used to be a pretty tight wave, but all of sudden Gernobono rushes off while the next player with a positive record is Asashosakari, half a division away. Zentoryu's crashed computer prevented him from dropping, thereby relatively gaining ground against most other players up there. However, he is still in virtual third place behind Azumaryu. Randomitsuki 2,900 Posted November 19, 2008 Let's pretend that it's a few hours earlier. Day 11 hasn't taken place yet. Voila, here are the standings for Banzuke Surfing after day 10 - just in time. Gernobono extends his lead over the rest of the field. Azumaryu will have to leave Juryo again, and he'll be overtaken by Zentoryu. Most brilliant pick IMO was made by Fay so far. Her surfboard, Keno had brilliant career prospects back in 2000(!), but a long injury turned him into a run-of-the-mill Makushita-Sandanme elevator. A 5-0 start in that banzuke region is unprecedented for him. And a little birdie has told me that he has excellent chances of getting a 6-0 on day 11 (which, as you all know, hasn't taken place yet ;-) ) Rank Shikona Surfs Position Standing 1. Gernobono* Sakaizawa J9e 6-4 2. Azumaryu Ryuo J10w 2-8 3. Zentoryu DNP (1st) Ms3w N/A 4. Manekineko Sokokurai Ms4w 2-3 5.
