Asashosakari 16,843 Posted May 22, 2008 Since I just mentioned him in another thread, here's a Hokutoriki quiz question that may or may not be easy (I'm honestly not sure): In his makuuchi career, Hokutoriki has done something that nobody else in history has. What is it? (A hint to follow, if nobody gets it right away.)

rhino 0 Posted May 22, 2008 Semi-wild guess: Obtained every score from 1-14 to 13-2 (without going kyujo) while ranked as maegashira. Any good?
Asojima 2,839 Posted May 22, 2008 Acquired 249 wins without once touching his aite's mawashi.
Asashosakari 16,843 Posted May 22, 2008 Semi-wild guess:Obtained every score from 1-14 to 13-2 (without going kyujo) while ranked as maegashira. Any good? Darn, that was too easy. (Clapping wildly...) Well done! Doesn't even require the "as maegashira" limitation...nobody else has done it in makuuchi, period. Four guys almost did, but missed the big one (13-2): Kotetsuyama (no, not Itai, another one) Kyokushuzan Maedagawa Tochihikari Honourable mention to Kirishima who missed 2-13, but otherwise got everything from 1-14 to 14-1 (!) in his career. Of the active rikishi other than Hokutoriki, Tamakasuga is closest, with everything from 1-14 to 11-4.
