Doitsuyama 1,150 Posted May 16, 2008 Yokozuna Hakuho and ozeki Kotooshhu are the remaining two undefeated makuushi leaders as Toyonoshima fell prey to an okuritaoshi by Takamisakari. Asashoryu and Kisenosato (winning the komusubi match-up against Asasekiryu) stay one win behind, with Tamanoshima and Toyohibiki from the maegashira ranks joining them at 5-1. Kotomitsuki is 4-2 with a hard win against Miyabiyama and Kaio made it look easy to drop Kotoshogiku by keeping some distance, while Chiyotaikai looked overmatched against Ama. Kimurayama beat Monolian Ryuo to keep the lead, ahead of only Koryu and Kitazakura as Bushuyama and Chiyohakuho lost. The top is getting thin as just Tamawashi and Katayama advanced to 4-2. Asofuji won the second straight bout to improve to 2-4, and injured Ichihara might struggle to stay in juryo as he is 2-4 as well with an okuridashi loss to Kyokunankai. HenryK 38 Posted May 16, 2008 (edited) K1e Kisenosato (5-1) O2w Kotooshu (6-0) Big one. But also Ama vs. Kaio and Chiyo vs. Shogiku are matchups with much on the line. Excellent basho so far. Edited May 16, 2008 by HenryK

vpl 0 Posted May 16, 2008 The Count What are the origins of this [nickname]? My guess would be his big fangs, black cloak and the ability to turn into a bat.

Blue_Wolf 22 Posted May 17, 2008 M14e Tochinoshin (3-3) M15e Hakurozan (3-3) Looking forward to it. (Eh?) Easy win for The Count, as long as he doesn't fall for the RoBros' trademark backpedaling. RoBro didn't go for his usual backpedaling which makes me piss of, so i'm happy. I wanna give the guy little credit. (Being unsure...)
