Sumo blog list

Recommended Posts

I just found a new Sumo blog today... Blogging is popular and even if some don't know much interesting to say- Rikishi like blogging as well.

(Holiday feeling...)

We have different topics for translations, but no real blog list. Let's start one to update now and then. Detect them! :-O Add them!

former Tochisakae

Kotooshu not started yet

Kotoshogiku

former Tooyama (private, not Tamanoii)

former kiyoazuma (now in a chanko restaurant)

Nishikido Beya

Nishikido Oyakata

Tochinoyama He writes a lot...about anything - To translate this blog needs good skills and a lot of time...

Toyonoshima (no update since 9 2007)

Futeno

Chiyotaikai

Ushiomaru ... well,... he doesn't say much

Iwakiyama's amateur club

Takadagawa Beya's Yobidashi (Yobikazu)

former Sentoryu

I am sure many are still missing- please go on listing them. There are hundreds of fan blogs as well, but I want to list the real sumo people blogs.

Anybody know what happened to the Chiganoura blog? On Tochinoyama's blog there is a link leading to it, but it hasn't been working for several days now.

I hope it still exists somewhere because even though I didn't understand anything, the hilarious pictures (especially of Masunoyama and Daiechizeno) alone made it worth visiting it. (Holiday feeling...)

Mr. Kubota (aka Raou san) has resigned from his position as the heya'a manager and coach for personal reasons as of this month.

He has been with the heya since the oyakata founded the heya and was one of the most valuable members of the heya. He also folded the blog at the same time. I am sure he is missed by everyone.

Thanks Joe for the Yahoo blogs. I had no idea Kitazakura has one... That is exactly what the list is for (Holiday feeling...)

That Kataonami blog fooled me. The guy writing it has a blog ID- full name of the Oyakata...

he once gave me a "Peta" - a foot print people leave on blogs to let the writer know they have been there...

I was excited by that Peta...thought it was the real Oyakata till a friend told me he is not.

I had no idea Kitazakura has one... That is exactly what the list is for (Shaking head...)

Looks like ILoveTochinoshin is featured on the Kitazakura blog... last picture of the BeadArt Series? Maybe this is the recent Ryogoku Matsuri-type thing at the Kokugikan? (Sorry way too lazy to translate the captions right now)

Anyway, at the very least these are good resources for more candid pictures! (Holiday feeling...)

Hi,

Thanks for noticing us!! (Being unsure...) (Chris and I)

We had a wonderful time with Kitazakura and his family that day.

She told us about the blog, I had no idea till then either. It is one of the most widely read blogs...

Thanks for the additional links here!

Additionally I could be the only one so I say this risking humiliation but the link I had for Sadogatake's website hadn't worked for some time and I happened to find the site (I am sure that is a new address) again so just in case it wasn't just me...

here it is: http://sadogatake.net/

If it is just me please don't laugh at me too much!

Have to get ready for tomorrow! Need to leave home at 7am if I plan to get to Tokyo before the traffic !

Hope to see some of you all there... those of you here in Tokyo anyway!

Night!

Thanks for finding Homie's blog! We'd heard from Fay that he spoke with Sho and thought about doing his own blog. I'm glad he's followed through.

Sadly, Homasho doesn't seem to be updating his blog during the basho.

Worse, Miyabiyama's is down...
