Hello!

Hello.

I suppose it's time for a proper introduction. My name is Arka.I have been following sumo on and off for the past 9 years.A deeper interest in sumo was rekindled with the recent Yokozuna rivalry. (Clapping wildly...)

I live in Grimsby United Kingdom the same place as longtime forum member Fujisan (I am not worthy...) and have met up with him recently.

Will be looking forward to discussing sumo and getting to know the members on this forum!

Arka :-D

Bah! ;-)

My shikona was supposed to convey something majestic ...er, like "Flower of England" not "Herra Ujo",or something silly like that!

ANYWAY.....thank you for your warm welcome to the forum Kaikitsune Makoto,Harry,Fujisan and aderechelsea ,though to be entirely frank,in Kaikitsune's case ,this is not the first time he has done so:

http://www.sumoforum.net/forums/index.php?...=2676&st=25

Same with Fujisan:

http://www.sumoforum.net/forums/index.php?...=2955&st=25

Yes.The years have slipped through our fingers...

To think...Fujisan still in his dashing youth, Kakitsune a mere stripling of a lad and Yoavoshimaru still with us before he was appallingly taken from this forum in the prime of his sumo fandom.

I feel the cool kamikaze blowing on the back of my neck...

Thanks once again for the kind remarks.

Hidenohana

PS aderechelsea

Grimsby are in the old Fourth Division??!!

Crumbs.I shouldn't have checked. (Sigh...)

I never gave up my childhood.

Two questions Arka....

You never did say how old you was and I'm no good with ages are you gonna tell us or is it a secret?

When we met you mentioned Alan Moore, dont tell me your a fellow comic enthuiast aswell?

See you Sunday....

I used to watch 'The Mariners' play when they were in the old 'second division'.

But, Grimsby Town are at an unfair disadvantage, as they never literally play at home.

To clarify.... Jejima is originally from Bristol (Up the Robins!), Jomojo is from Durban (South Africa) and Kamejima was born in nearby Cleethorpes - but we all grew up in Grimsby.

Welcome Hidenohana!

I grew up in Grimsby (on 'Park Avenue' just off 'People's Park') when it was part of 'Humberside'.

I've lived in Grimsby for the greater part of my life on or just off Scartho Road.

Two questions Arka....

You never did say how old you was and I'm no good with ages are you gonna tell us or is it a secret?

LOL.I'm in my twenties. ;-)

When we met you mentioned Alan Moore, dont tell me your a fellow comic enthuiast as well?

I've read the Watchmen.I remember enjoying it.

I read the occasional graphics novel;I've read all the Tintin comics(surely that doesn't count?).

But comic enthusiast?

I think that would putting it too strongly.

The other members of the NPI(North pole ichimon) are asking me to speak to you about joining us in time for the coming basho?

Can I tell them you are joining us?

Yes! :-O
