JAB 0 Posted April 16, 2008 I am new to the forum, and my name is Jake. I post as JAB. I have been doing martial arts for over 17 years now, and have always liked Sumo, but have just recently become seriously interested in learning more about this ancient art. I live in Seattle, where to the best of my kowledge there is no Sumo locally. I have a number of questions I would like to post, but it will not let me post in the areas I need to. Any help in this regard? Thanks Jake :-(
Fujisan 500 Posted April 16, 2008 Welcome onboard Jake (Hugging...) Chuck in your salt :-( and join the fray... As for posting questions- Where are you trying to post them? I assume they are sumo questions,so it should be in 'Ozumo discussions.' If its about the board itself you want 'Public feedback' The only place you shouldn't post in is 'Essential and Informative Messages' Hope that helps...... Sasanishiki 57 Posted April 16, 2008 Hi Jake, welcome aboard. Just ask your questions in what you feel is the most appropriate sub forum - your team of friendly moderators will put it in the right place if it isn't to begin with. Things about sumo go in ozumo discussions, and things about amateur sumo in the amasumo one. The other forums are self explanatory. Before you ask, though, the question might already have been written about. You'll find the search function a really good tool and the Sumo Information sub forum might have things you are looking for as well. Enjoy

IIRC only moderators can move/create posts there, as it is not really intended for general questions. As others said, just drop it in the Ozumo discussions thread if that is the closest match. Welcome! And if you don't have local sumo, start an informal club of your own - I've considered doing so in Brooklyn... -Kaiguma

Like I said, the information might already be there and you can look for it using the search function or look in the Sumo Information sub forum to see if it is there already. Sumo Information sub forum is in the Sumo Information Pond. I didn't say anything about posting in there. Edited April 17, 2008 by Sasanishiki
