madorosumaru 7 Posted March 21, 2008 Regarding Kotomitsuki's win... I think I might have died and gone to heaven. Honestly. Words cannot express my irrational joy. You remind me of an old joke I heard years ago. A professor of a course on human relationships asked his classroom full of college students about the frequency of their having "relationships" with the opposite sex. Remember, now, this story is from many years ago. The BMOC football player immediately answered, "Every damn night." A good-looking, well-dressed fellow in the front row chimed in, "Couple of times a week. On weekends. Gottta study, too, you know." An anonymous-looking Joe College type in the middle of the room confided, "Every so often, Wherever I get lucky." All this time, a nerdy guy with glasses and a plaid shirt was giggling loudly and waving frantically in the back of the room. Finally, the professor called on him, "Okay, you back there, how often do you get it?" The pimply-faced geek replied, "Once every five years." The puzzled prof then asked, "Five years? Why are you so happy, then?" The geek was barely able to contain himself as he blurted out, "Tonight's the night!" Last night, clearly, was your night. Kotobaru 0 Posted March 21, 2008 Anybody think Kokkai has a chance in hell of taking the yusho? Probably not because on senshuraku he'd not only have to beat an ozeki, but also win a three-way playoff with both yokozuna. A little much there, but I'm wildly impressed at how he's cured most of his old bad habits (and I don't get wild much anymore...)! Why just three-way playoff? Baruto or/and O3 can easily join them all. What a good entertaining it can be at the end of senshuraku!
Kotobaru 0 Posted March 21, 2008 So I'm a little protective of Baruto, that's allowed (Cheers...) :-) I like Baruto as well but I like to see him against Kaio (who's my favorite too). It has never happened before and they both are relatively genki. This can not have a chance in future. I hope if not this time, then next HonBasho, because Baruto should be in meat grinder and meet them all. Senshuraku torikumi should see Kaio and Ama from sanyaku to meet with potential yusho contenders. As Kokkai have highest rank probably he should get Kaio and Baruto's aite will be Ama. O3 can meet with 10-ho. As the last torikumi is made after the 14th day's bouts then in some of three Maegashirast losing tomorrow everything can be different. James H 0 Posted March 22, 2008 AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! McMickey!!!!!!!!! Why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I can't believe today was the first day I didn't watch the sumo and actually did some work!!! That's an important lesson learned for me. Never EVER put work ahead of sumo. I think there is a correlation - the only time you don't watch Mickey Vs Asa, Mickey wins. If you could not watch next tournament too, then we'll know it's not a fluke.

GOOD things come to those who wait. Actually, I watch a large variety of sports and am hence guaranteed little spurts of delight on a regular basis. *guhur-hur*
