He took over the stable in 2005 when the previous stablemaster reached the mandatory retirement age. Current Sadogatake Oyakata is Kotozakura's son-in-law, isn't it? According to https://www3.nhk.or.jp/news/html/20200224/k10012299221000.html, Kotozakura is the maternal grandfather of current Kotonowaka, which would make his father, current Sadogatake Oyakata, Kotozakura's son-in-law. So I would say you have that right.

Otokonoyama 2,736 Posted March 21, 2020 John profiles former Great White North hope John Tenta in this installment. Kototenzan struggled with sumo lifestyle, but found stardom in pro wrestling Quote When the 2020 NFL Draft gets under way on April 23rd, Joe Burrow is widely expected to be the first overall pick after leading Louisiana State University to the National Championship, winning the Heisman Trophy and having one of the best seasons for a quarterback in college football history. Burrow’s 15-0 isn’t the only perfect championship a Tiger has achieved, however. John Tenta, who played football and rugby at LSU and was part of its wrestling team, went 24-0 during his six-month stint in professional sumo, winning the jonokuchi, jonidan and sandanme division titles in the process... https://www.japantimes.co.jp/sports/2020/03/21/sumo/kototenzan-struggled-sumo-lifestyle-found-stardom-pro-wrestling/
