Hi Everyone

Recommended Posts

Hi there. I've been following sumo for 2 years, been lurking here for about a year. Decided to join so that I can ask an occasional question to all you folks who know a lot more than I do about sumo.

I'm an American who's been living in Tokyo for 5 years. Lately, each Tokyo basho I go to the Kokugikan one day, and watch the rest on TV. I really think sumo makes great TV viewing, but of course the atmosphere in-person at the Kokugikan is just amazing and cannot be beat. I haven't been to watch keiko or jungyo yet, but hope to do this next year.

Glad to be here!

ilovesumo - Sorry, didn't mean to make you homesick (or the opposite of homesick?) for Ryogoku. I should try to enjoy it as much as I can while I have the opportunity.

Washuyama - Thanks! I get a kick out of the miniature kesho-mawashi.

I walked around there almost every day, and yes, that place is more "home" then my parent's house...

But they can be sure (and fear) ;-) I will be back!

Walk around there, sit down on a seat in the park (at hokusai dori) and just watch life....bikkuri... :-)
