That-Satsu-Guy 1 Posted July 2, 2007 Hi, I am relatively new to the English speaking sumo web forums. I have been watching sumo on NHK here for about five years but only in Japanese. So, when people say Doreen said this or that I don't know who they are talking about. I do know about that Demon guy they get on NHK sometimes, he's funny. I like reading about sumo in English because it's my native language and it helps me double check my understanding. I have been and still am using the sumotalk website. I noticed there are many double agents and I thought I should check to see what I was missing out on. I hope I don't make too many mistakes in my posts. If I do, I'm sure you'll let me know. Sasanishiki 57 Posted July 3, 2007 Welcome to the Forum! I used to live in Chiba city (around Inage and Nishi-Chiba) back in 1998-2000 while I was based at the university there. I hope you find that our forum provides you with interesting perspectives to add to your television/live sumo watching experiences. Feel free to wade into the conversations, and remember that the search function is your friend in the early days if you have any questions (as many have been asked before). That-Satsu-Guy 1 Posted July 8, 2007 Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. Sasanishiki, I was working in Inage every Thursday last year. This Nagoya basho is really pissing me off! I'm playing the sumo game and half of the wrestlers I chose lost. On my first day!!
