Doitsuyama 1,156 Posted July 7, 2003 Again a strong showing from the upper Sanyaku with five out of six Yokozuna and Ozeki winning today. The only loss surprisingly was caused from Asashoryu against Kotonowaka; it was a close decision and a momo-ii wouldn't have surprised me. The four Ozeki again looked strong and Musashimaru again looked like a one-handed wrestler - enough for Kyokushuzan. Kotomitsuki and Tosanoumi won with cannonball-strategy, maybe they should stick to that due to a lack of other techniques available. Toki's bout looked like a replay of yesterday's bout, really. Kasuganishiki and Tokitsuumi continue to impress. In Juryo a lot of rikishi are hot and starting with two wins, notably Shimotori, Kakizoe, Takekaze and Chiyotenzan. -- Doitsuyama Day 2 Juryo J12w Masutsuyoshi (2-0) oshidashi J12e Nakao (0-2) J11w Chiyotenzan (2-0) okuridashi J13e Kotoiwakuni (0-2) J7e Hamanishiki (2-0) shitatedashinage J11e Kitazakura (1-1) J5e Senshuyama (2-0) yorikiri J8w Harunoyama (0-2) J5w Toyozakura (1-1) yorikiri J10w Takanotsuru (0-2) J4e Wakatoba (2-0) uwatenage J9w Wakakosho (1-1) J4w Kobo (1-1) uwatenage J9e Tamanokuni (0-2) J8e Takekaze (2-0) oshidashi J3w Hayateumi (0-2) J2e Kakizoe (2-0) oshidashi J7w Oginishiki (0-2) J2w Shimotori (2-0) sukuinage J6e Kokkai (1-1) J1e Yotsukasa (1-1) yorikiri J6w Futeno (0-2) Makuuchi J1w Tochinohana (1-1) oshidashi M15e Tamakasuga (1-1) M13e Kotomitsuki (1-1) oshidashi M14w Aogiyama (0-2) M14e Ushiomaru (2-0) hikiotoshi M12w Kasugao (1-1) M11e Asanowaka (1-1) hikiotoshi M15w Kinkaiyama (1-1) M13w Wakanoyama (1-1) okuridashi M10e Iwakiyama (0-2) M12e Kasuganishiki (2-0) oshidashi M10w Otsukasa (1-1) M8w Tamarikido (1-1) oshidashi M11w Tochisakae (0-2) M9e Gojoro (1-1) tsukidashi M6e Jumonji (0-2) M6w Buyuzan (1-1) oshidashi M9w Asasekiryu (1-1) M5e Tosanoumi (1-1) oshitaoshi M8e Kaiho (1-1) M7e Tokitsuumi (2-0) yorikiri M4e Tamanoshima (0-2) M4w Toki (2-0) hatakikomi M7w Hokutoriki (1-1) M1e Miyabiyama (1-1) okuridashi M5w Kotoryu (1-1) S1w Kyokutenho (1-1) oshitaoshi M1w Aminishiki (0-2) O1e Kaio (2-0) oshidashi M3e Takanonami (0-2) O2w Tochiazuma (2-0) yorikiri M3w Takamisakari (1-1) O2e Musoyama (2-0) uwatedashinage S1e Wakanosato (1-1) O1w Chiyotaikai (2-0) tsukiotoshi K1w Tochinonada (0-2) M2w Kotonowaka (1-1) abisetaoshi Y1e Asashoryu (1-1) Y1w Musashimaru (2-0) oshitaoshi M2e Kyokushuzan (0-2) Day 3 Makushita Ms5e Raiko (0-1) Ms6w Tokitenku (0-1) Ms4w Tochifudo (1-0) Ms3w Sentoryu (1-0) Ms3e Kotokanyu (0-1) Ms4e Komahikari (0-1) Ms2e Asofuji (1-0) Ms1w Juzan (1-0) Ms1e Kaito (0-1) Ms2w Asahibenten (0-1) Juryo J11e Kitazakura (1-1) J12e Nakao (0-2) J11w Chiyotenzan (2-0) J9w Wakakosho (1-1) J9e Tamanokuni (0-2) J12w Masutsuyoshi (2-0) J13e Kotoiwakuni (0-2) J8w Harunoyama (0-2) J6e Kokkai (1-1) J10w Takanotsuru (0-2) J8e Takekaze (2-0) J5w Toyozakura (1-1) J7e Hamanishiki (2-0) J4w Kobo (1-1) J7w Oginishiki (0-2) J3w Hayateumi (0-2) J6w Futeno (0-2) J2w Shimotori (2-0) J5e Senshuyama (2-0) J1w Tochinohana (1-1) J1e Yotsukasa (1-1) J4e Wakatoba (2-0) Makuuchi J2e Kakizoe (2-0) M14w Aogiyama (0-2) M15w Kinkaiyama (1-1) M13w Wakanoyama (1-1) M14e Ushiomaru (2-0) M11w Tochisakae (0-2) M11e Asanowaka (1-1) M15e Tamakasuga (1-1) M13e Kotomitsuki (1-1) M10w Otsukasa (1-1) M12e Kasuganishiki (2-0) M9w Asasekiryu (1-1) M9e Gojoro (1-1) M12w Kasugao (1-1) M7e Tokitsuumi (2-0) M10e Iwakiyama (0-2) M8e Kaiho (1-1) M5w Kotoryu (1-1) M5e Tosanoumi (1-1) M8w Tamarikido (1-1) M4e Tamanoshima (0-2) M6w Buyuzan (1-1) M7w Hokutoriki (1-1) M3w Takamisakari (1-1) M3e Takanonami (0-2) M6e Jumonji (0-2) S1e Wakanosato (1-1) M4w Toki (2-0) M2e Kyokushuzan (0-2) O1w Chiyotaikai (2-0) O1e Kaio (2-0) K1w Tochinonada (0-2) S1w Kyokutenho (1-1) O2w Tochiazuma (2-0) O2e Musoyama (2-0) M2w Kotonowaka (1-1) M1w Aminishiki (0-2) Y1w Musashimaru (2-0) Y1e Asashoryu (1-1) M1e Miyabiyama (1-1)

I really hope that the yokozuna and ozeki gang can keep it up. (Rock on...)
