Here is some coverage from the youtube channel that was actually recommanded in this discussion (thanks for that ) https://youtu.be/9X1GkrZaiGM Only one video as i write this but more from this event to come i assume.

Wow Takakeisho jumping out of the dohyo as a celebration move was unexpected. He seems to really enjoy beating the yokozuna. Congrats to Ichinojo for his well deserved yusho
-
Best news of the day was no covid annoucement (to my knowledge) ! Same thing tomorrow please That yusho race is getting crazy ! Btw, do you guys think Kanno secured sekitori with this win ? Ishiura, Kaisei, yago out. Kinbozan, Takakento and Kanno in ? (assuming there is no full banzuke freezing but its way too late to go for that option imo)
-
I'll start practising henka if you dont mind
-
Four stables out in a single day. Crazy. There will be more i guess. Let's just hope aki basho will be covid free or close to it WTK tried something different vs Teru with that quick mawashi grip but it failed quickly.
-
Well we are down to 3 (Terunofuji, Takakeisho and Ichinojo) Ichinojo has the "easy" schedule but Teru is so hard to stop when hunting a yusho... we could have a play off Well done Shodai !! I just hope that will not be followed by 7-8 aki basho... Also Daiseizan vs Asanoyama confirmed for tomorrow, give your best shot kid
-
I see that in jonidan there was 4 straight fusen bouts. Maybe a record ?
-
I am kinda asking for a miracle here but no covid news today would be nice ! I mean, it came to the point where we could do a silly "Guess the heya" game where we would try to guess which stable will be announced out for the day...
-
Kanno vs Yago today/tonight/insert whatever works with your time zone as the first bout of juryo is an interesting one ! The young makushita2 just got his KK but will aim for more to boost his chance of promotion and putting Yago, one demotion candidate, closer to MK
-
At some point in the video it is written : Ask not "What is the rule" but "How the athletes feel about what we decide". I wonder what is the point of rules if you don't try to apply them ? That situation went to comedy material, true enough, but if you ignore rules thats just openning the door to way more drama in the future

I loved the scene. Shodai looked like a boxing coach taking care of his champion between rounds
-
That would be a crazy hard banzuke to make! Freezing the banzuke is the easier option but yeah, what about a guy like Kinbozan for instance? who almost officialy got his promotion as we speak. Tough decision here We will see if we get there but yeah, more heya could be out soon sadly
-
Mitakeumi maybe/likely saved, Shodai turning things around, we might keep our ozeki crew after all. About ozeki... Takakeisho looked a bit troubled by his elbow at the end of his bout, hope there is nothing there. He has Wakamotoharu tomorrow and we just saw that one can be a tough challenge. WMH will try to get another win vs an ozeki Wakatakakage vs Kotonowaka, Kiribayama vs Ichinojo, Abi vs Shodai. Promising bouts! By the way, i noticed that during the dohyo iri, the guys were waiting for their names to be called before approaching the dohyo instead of direclty following the guy in front like usual, i wonder why that was requested of them.
-
What a weird moment and what a bad rollercoaster of emotions for Wakamotoharu! Terunofuji saw the gyoji and kinda stopped his effort so i wont call it a robbery but rather an extremely unlucky turn of events for Wakamotoharu. That was a great effort vs the yokozuna anyway !! The guy seems to get better and better every basho
-
Yep. I can't find anything confirming his statement so far
