For me, the good news on this is that he lost the bout.
-
Talking about potential bad blood ... what about that Akua bout? I think there even was a closed fist punch in the middle Maybe after mostly failing with Judo moves he just wants to try Boxing skills?if we are lucky maybe Capoeira is next

Daiesho vs Kotonowaka tomorrow ! Both 4-0 and trying to build an ozeki run, should be fun
-
Just saw that Wakatakamoto (ms26) is now out. No clue why, no obvious injury during his first two so if anyone has any news on what is the issue that we can't see im curious.

Wakatakakage vs Kayo in day one. Thats an intersting one. Curious to see in what shape the former sekiwake is coming back in action.
-
That Mita winning reversal over Kusano reminds me a bit of the Wakatakakage one over Takayasu for a yusho. Congrats to the champions ! I have to admit that i was disappointed to see Kawabuchi Goshima and Otgombat going down early in individuals, no tsukedashi spots, but i expect them to bounce back in december. Otgombat is only 2nd year i think so he is fine anyway

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12MwBZ8-Jkw From last sunday. Teams of 9, 8 teams round robin, no play offs.Nihondai and Nittaidai both won their first 6 before facing each other, so it was like a final. 6-3 win for Nihondai. Quick 4-0 lead before Bucheroon won his bout to stop the streak, but Kawabuchi won his bout right after to get the decisive 5th win for the men in black mawashi Toyo having only lost to the two "finalist" is 3rd (4-5 vs Nittaidai and 3-6 vs Nihondai if i remember correctly). About individual performance, my MVP of the event is Otgombat, perfect 7-0 on the day that includes a win vs Bucheroon (the only loss for the nittaidai guy).

Well that was a bit lame Takakeisho but congratz anyway!
-
So we go to day15 with only 2 divisions knowing their champion. I love it Edit : actually i think the fun part comes when you count the amount of rikishi that will wake up tomorow hoping for a yusho day. 16 guys total i think
-
How does a 7 man play off works ? Like a top8 with one lucky guy (highest rank?) Getting a round1 bye?
-
So basically Atami needs two more to have at least a playoff! I have a hard time seeing any of the 8-3 guy go perfect from now on so i am tempted to say one win for playoff and two for Champagne shower Lets see what actually happens
-
You were right. Other classes videos are up now. Indeed same format, top 8 for each class

Not sure what event this is but apparently this was happening today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P04c2HSDOk8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6TOqsZO914 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJdTKvUFryA Almost a perfect 3/3 for Nihon university with the 1st places of Kawabuchi and Hanaoka but Bucheroon beating Kusano in the other category ruined it. Congrats to Bucheroon, i didn't expect him to win here, he is stepping up. The videos are for top8 only, i have no clue if you can find more elsewhere. So i can't say if guys like Mikami or the big mongolian from Toyo were there and eliminated or just not competing

Yeah with a 9-6 now for both. Even a promotion after kyushu will not be easy to get. 24/30 needed in aki+kyushu. Kotonowaka looks actually in a better position than them now. 22/30 needed.

Ozeki and yusho winner! Congratulations
