I made this website for convenience of checking rikishi's head-to-head records against possible aites during the basho. Its main purpose is to help make picks for games. It's powered entirely by @thatsumoguy's Sumo API. Here it is - https://chiyotasuke.github.io/tsbanzuke/ Suggestions for improving the site (and its usefulness) are welcome.

I noticed Hakuryu's first kanji is the one in his last name Shirasaka 白坂. And in relating to the talk of whether or not Kakuryu is emulating Hakuho's name, I seem to recall him saying something along the lines of looking up to Hakuho as a role model of a yokozuna ever since he got the rope. And that was when Hakuho announced his retirement I think.

Promotion/Demotion and Yūshō Discussion Hatsu 2024
Chiyotasuke replied to Reonito's topic in Honbasho Talk
Gotcha. I put it in the space below the makushita guesses table. -
Futagoyama Beya YouTube channel is great
Chiyotasuke replied to 808morgan's topic in Ozumo Discussions
I always thought that the editor creates the Japanese subtitles first, with extra commentary and info added, and then uses machine translation tool on them, like DeepL. Its use is evident in the occasional mistranslated shikona that appear. -
Done. I added Makushita 1-15 slots to the guesses table and accompanying makushita rikishi to the left table plus 7-0 record sandanme rikishi, though it was done hastily as I've been busy with schoolwork. I might tidy up the code in a little while. If you can't see the things I added, click the "Reset changes" button.

Banzuke where you can see win-loss records between rikishi
Chiyotasuke replied to Chiyotasuke's topic in Sumo Games
Now the records can be seen across the whole banzuke, and they appear after a shorter time. https://chiyotasuke.github.io/tsbanzuke/ -

Banzuke where you can see win-loss records between rikishi
Chiyotasuke replied to Chiyotasuke's topic in Sumo Games
Ok, I extended it to all the rikishi in the division, for good measure. -

GTB invite- Hatsu 2024 --RESULTS!! 199 entries.
Chiyotasuke replied to Kintamayama's topic in Sumo Games
Thanks for the suggestion. Just done making that. I made it so that you can have multiple drafts too. -
Nanajo and Yariryu are written in the Kintamayama style romanization (as Nanajou and Yariryuu) on the English side. I didn't find any other instances of this upon further searching.

Kirishima has achieved something that wasn't seen in a while; winning the yusho with a shikona of a different makuuchi yusho winner in the past. Tochiazuma was the latest occurrence of this. This query here shows all the past occurrences, though it leaves out one other Wakamisugi who later became Wakanohana II (the query doesn't allow repeating of rikishi): https://sumodb.sumogames.de/Query.aspx?show_form=0&shikona=Asashio,Kirishima,Nishinoumi,Takamiyama,Takanohana,Tamanoumi,Tochiazuma,Wakamisugi,Wakanohana&group_by=rikishi&form1_y=on&form1_m=on&gsort_by=shikona

It seems that the sewanin and wakaimonogashira's heya affiliations after their retirement from dohyo are/were supposed to be shown in their profiles. But most of them are missing heya transfers (if they had any). I used the DB, HeyaA-Z and the Japanese Wikipedia pages for sewanin and wakaimonogashira to examine each members, then I compiled this list which distinguishes the ones who have the correct heya information and the ones who don't in the DB, with the missing heya in red: Sewanin: Correct: Mitsuwaka, Kenryu, Fusanobori Missing: Mutsuhokkai: Ajigawa - Isegahama Aranonami: Musashigawa - Fujishima - Ikazuchi Ranbo: Futagoyama - Takanohana - Chiganoura - Tokiwayama Tochinoyama: Kasugano - Chiganoura - Tokiwayama Nishikikaze: Oguruma - Oshiogawa Byakuhoyama: Kasugayama - Ajigawa - Kasugayama - Oitekaze - Nakagawa - Miyagino Saisu: Isegahama - Kiriyama - Asahiyama - Isegahama Yuho: Taiho - Otake Wakaimonogashira: Correct: Fukunosato, Isenishiki Missing: Torafusuyama: Mihogaseki - Kasugano Hananokuni: Hanakago - Hanaregoma - Shibatayama Tsurumiyama: Izutsu - Michinoku Shiraiwa: Isegahama - Kiriyama - Asahiyama - Asakayama

Kotakiyama's given name is missing a kanji. The NSK site has it. Also, Umetsu's shikona given name on the Japanese page should be Shunnosuke and not Sunnosuke. Here, his name is on the bottom of the New Recruits list of Hatsu 2013: I'll bump a previous post I made about typos in the DB FWIW in case you missed it. Since most of them are old and lower ranked rikishi I doubt there are any sources with the correct shikonas. I guess they appeared due to either erroneous input or sources with typos

Futagoyama beya's (food) YT channel posted footage from the press conference of Roga's makuuchi promotion, with subtitles (they seem pretty good; whoever manages the channel does splendid job with its contents). The video starts off with preparing of handouts for koenkai members and curry rice chanko:
