    Natsu basho 2019 discussions [SPOILERS]

Good day for the futures. Both Hoshoryu and Naya moved to 2-0 :)

    Natsu basho 2019 discussions [SPOILERS]

Wow Tochi looked like his old self from a year ago. When he has enough power to lift up 198kg like it was nothing then watch out. Hopefully he can stay healthy throughout and get his 10+ W. Takakeisho handled Endo as expected with his brand of sumo which is too much for guys like Endo to handle. Ichinojo surprised me in a bad way, he looked like he gave up too easy. Maybe his back is acting up again?? I kinda expected troubles for Takayasu in this basho. Kotoshogiku was impressive but I won´t be surprised if Takayasu goes kadoban.

    Ridiculous Predictions for Natsu 2019

Trump gets granted his wish to present the cup to the winner. Takakeisho who wins the yusho will be strongly against it and as a protest he will use his fierce oshi attack to send Trump flying into the 4th row... So much for good Japanese-US diplomatic relationship

The Next Ozeki - Natsu 2019 edition

Some outside of the box thinking here... What about Aoiyama? I get his age and inconsistency but at times he looks great... This is a long shot and I don´t really think it can happen just wanted to put it out there

    New Ozeki Takakeisho

Interested to see how many of you feel that Takakeisho will eventually become a Yokozuna... This maybe a fan in me talking but I think he will get it in 3-4 years if not sooner. There is some reasoning for that. In 4 years Taka will be 26 just entering his prime and the top guys will be probably out of the picture completely or old so regression gonna be expected. So there won´t be many in his way Takayasu gonna be 33, Mitakeumi and Hokutofuji 30, Ichinojo 29 and the rest of current sanyaku 35+ Of course injuries happen and it´s not a sure thing but I think that we see Yokozuna Takakeisho in March 2023. I woudn´t be surprised if in by that tourney we see Hoshoryu and Naya in sanyaku ranks My fantasy banzuke of Haru 2023 :) Takakeisho Y Hoshoryu O Ichinojo Mitakeumi O Takayasu Naya S Meisei Goeido K Hokutofuji

Hakuho Injures Arm Haru Basho 2019

It´s definitely possible. He can take his time without anybody from YDC questioning his decision and abilities. He has earned it over the course of his career and IMO Kisenosato and his poorly managed injury is a warning for anybody facing similar situation (not that I am comparing the seriousness of those injuries, only the point about taking the time needed to heal)

Hakuho Injures Arm Haru Basho 2019

Well if that´s the case he is facing a recovery around 3-4 months... So he is gonna sit 2 basho´s at least

    Haru Basho 2019 Discussion [SPOILERS]

The sad thing about this is that injury for Hakuho at the end. I dont like him at all, but never wish an injury to anybody so I hope it´s nothing serious... This was a great basho all together

Lol guys I guess I need to pull up my *sarcasm* sign :)

    Haru Basho 2019 Discussion [SPOILERS]

Shimanoumi already has 34 wins in his last 3 bashos with one bout to go... It baffles me how they can deny him his Ozeki promotion for next tourney

    Haru Basho 2019 Discussion [SPOILERS]

Hoshoryu comes all the way back from 1-3 to get another KK and will move even closer to sekitori, should be Ms4 or Ms5 next basho Naya put on a show losing only his last bout for a 6-1 record. He will move up from his current rank Ms51 to Ms22-Ms24 in May

    Haru Basho 2019 Discussion [SPOILERS]

Interesting match in Jonidan tomorrow... Roga vs. Omote The former has started his career 8-0 so far we all know that :) But Omote is quietly on a 5 fight win streak when he turned around Hatsu from 1-2 all the way to 5-2 at Jonidan 60 and also won his opener here on day 1. Two men in form, who gonna stay on a roll?

Ikioi marries pro golfer Mamiko Higa

Sorry for the question but is the postponing of the wedding normal thing in Japan or could this mean they are having problems and second thoughts about the wedding? I follow pro golf even more closely than sumo and know her quite well from golf. Wish them well in life

    Hatsu Basho 2019 Discussion [SPOILERS]

There is a working livestream on youtube... There goes Onosho overcommiting and out of control again... Thats a huge difference between him and Takakeisho. Style is the same, the may have even similar strengh and power but Takakeisho is collected while Onosho is all over the place often getting caught with hatakikomi or other after dominating early

    Hatsu Basho 2019 Discussion [SPOILERS]

Just woke up for Makuuchi and found out Hoshoryu won and finished 5-2... yaaaay :)
