I don't know if you can call it yaocho, (actually, it probably is yaocho if two guys agree to trade wins and losses each time they meet) but when Chisaiyama and I spot one of the lengthy WLWLWL patterns, we take note. Often I won't pick the next one in line to win, but sometimes I do, especially if it has gone on for an extended period. And sometimes it will convince me to stay away from the match entirely if the current basho records dictate. We non-machine folks have to look for every edge we can just to keep up with you analytics folks! LOL! (Actually, we were wondering if you guys with the analytics systems account for WLWL patterns and such?) ztnm, Sebunshu

You must not have read my post from earlier today and my bitterness about how Hokutofuji had lost it for me 4 days in a row? (Actually 3 days plus a 1 day break then back to a loss again. It just seemed like 4 days in a row!) At any rate, I knew I wouldn't let it happen again and got to thinking he must be content just making the early KK and wasn't in the mood for any special prizes this basho. The history also slightly favored Nishikigi and he had some added incentive going for his KK. I don't have a "machine" like you and Haidouzo do, but believe it or not, I do actually put some thought into the picks. And it isn't always about stats, but sometimes who needs the win more and yaocho (if one believes it still exists) enters into the equation as well. Sounds more like sour grapes to me... And while we're criticizing the other's picks, I though your Tochinishin pick was a bit dodgy, especially considering Shodai had won the last 2 (3 including the fusen win) in their series. Back at you... ztnm, Sebunshu

Much, much better day than yesterday. Finally got back to even 6-6 in SG after a horrific 0-3 start, won my famous 4 pt GBL in Bench, top score in DST, and wins in the other dailies except for ODD. Woulda had a good score there too if not for my repeated poor judgment in picking Hokutofuji, who let me down for the 4th day in a row in one game or another. Useless Tub of Goo! (One tip, DST gives you lots better scores when you submit an entry!) I kept looking for my score from the day before and was shocked to find I didn't have one. Not even a 0. Started to email a complaint to the DST admins when I realized I had forgotten to click the "sendo' Ab" button! LOL! ztnm, Sebunshu

OMG! I just scored a 4 point GBL win in Bench. Hak won and everyone else on my team lost. What a sorry state of affairs. ztnm, Sebunshu

Hakubayama is an idiot for not finding this site. If only he had some friends. What do we need to do? Lay out a bread crumb trail using day old chanko droppings? Kind of reminds me of that scene from Interstellar when Matthew McConaughey is trying to communicate through time and space with his daughter. Dang that Martian, Matt Damon for almost ruining everything! Goes to show you should never trust aliens! Well, at least that was the message I got out of the movie. LOL! Actually, instead of the error message at the old ST site, couldn't Mike splash up the URL to this site or would that be too much of a slap in the face? Just curious. I hope Seisset finds us. I miss the little guy. ztnm Sebunshu

On a totally unrelated topic. Did you ever consider that the Panda is truly the worlds only multi-cultural creature? They are black and white and asian! ztnm, Sebunshu

How can I sit idly by and not comment on that massive blast on my SG skills? LOL! In fact, I have had my share of "bad luck" at this game through the years. As we both well know SG giveth and SG taketh away, but ultimately things level out. How soon we forget that last basho I had the high point total in all of SG. In regards to the Ichinojo v. Yoshikaze match, sometimes I choose not to pick for someone but rather against someone. If you believe that yaocho still exists in Sumo, then one might ask why is Yoshikaze still fighting when he is clearly not performing at anywhere near 100%? I had noticed in his past few bouts he had crumpled rather easily and appears to have what might be a right leg injury. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if he were "trading favors" and building up a supply of them to cash in next basho. I took a calculated risk that the giving would continue and it payed off. Why can't you just accept the defeat and take it like a man rather than this pathetic diatribe about how the sumo gods love me and hate you. It just doesn't suit you. I know you are better than that. Now, back to your regularly scheduled post game play by play analysis... As always: GAMBARIMASU! ztnm, Sebunshu

I was amazed to see both Simon and Choccy Boy spotted the Hak kyujo in time (in addition to a distinct similarity in their lineups, LOL!) Lightning communication between those two I must say... Har! Har! ztnm, Sebunshu

You are correct. I recall checking with about 20-25 min to go prior to the SG deadline and the Hak kyujo was not listed on the Absent NHK page. Then with about 10 min remaining I thought maybe check one more time and there it was. Just barely enough time to change my SG lineup. It gave me one more point, but I would have still won as I ended up with a 2 point edge over Susanoo. ztnm, Sebunshu
