    Next Ozeki speculation

I voted Kotomitsuki, but I believe, that Miyabiyama will return some day. I'll always put Wakanosato on my Hoshitori-list, but Ozeki? 10-5, 9-6, 10-5 and so on don't make you an Ozeki.

    Training news updates

I certainly don't like the idea, that some guys ruin their health just to become better sumotori. But if somebody already is fat (sorry, there is no better word for it) and finds with Sumo a sport, where he can use his weight, than I think it's great. Good luck and best wishes to Ruud, who is now training 5 or 6 times a week, as is to be read on the website chijanofuji found. I guess his health will have improved since he practices Sumo. About Alex Czerwinsky: I think Alex is a great showman with a big shot of humor and certainly doing a good job promoting sumo on german TV. I found him as well in an evening Show ("Verstehen sie Spa

    What's the best ever Manga-serie ?

"Manga" or sometimes "Komikusu" is the word for comics in Japan. My favourite Mangas are "Dragonball" and "Akira", which is rather different. The TV-productions are called "Anime". Dragonball and Ranma 1/2 are the best I know.

Well, it surely sounds harsh, but this dutch guy is rather sick than a sumotori. He was shown in a half an hour report on Amateur-Sumo on German DSF. Obviously he has some bad disease. I really wonder if the poor guy is still alive. Anyway, a picture of him is to be found here

    German Open 2002

Certainly a Ozumo-League outside of Japan wouldn't work this way. But I think, there is a little hope for a (professional) International Sumo-League. Such a league would need to keep its tournaments in Europe, as there is no money to earn in Mongolia, and the costs for plainrides would be much to high. My suggestion: Invitational tournaments with amateur-sumotori from all over the planet. A league with about 20 sumotori a qualification for the league each tournament with about 10 sumotori (including those, who felt out of the list). A Banzuke-System for the 1st Division is a must. There needed to be more tournamentsthan just 6, as there won't be so much visitors for each tournament. Lets make it 10 tournaments in cities such as D
