Okay, there are obviously some Mongolians with internet-connection. Don't be to angry on me. @ aderchelsea: Unusual map in my opinion. I just checked the encarta encycloedia, and it say as well as the sources I had before, that Europe's frontier is built by the Mountains of the Ural, the river Ural, the Caspian Sea, the Kaukasus and the Black Sea. Obviously Armenia counts to Europe in a cultural way as one of the countries with the oldest christian tradition.

Leaves my with nothing more to say. Exactly my opinion.

Georgia belongs geographically to Asia, but cultural it belongs to Europe. Georgia is south of the edge of the Kaukasus, which marks the frontier between Europe and Asia, but Georgia has a christian culture and i.e. Georgia is member of the European football-association UEFA. In my opinion it wouldn't make too much sense to list Mongolia, as the country hasn't even 2.000.000 inhabitants and hardly any Mongolian will have connection to the internet, as Mongolia is a very poor and mnor industrialized country.

The German Autobahn-System is kind of weird anyway. There is no official Speed-Limit. Theoretical you may drive 320 km/h, BUT your speed has to be appropriate to the traffic-situation so nobody can exactly tell HOW fast you are allowed to drive. As long as you don't cause a crash, nobody will fine you, bt recently a man got jailed for several years, after he rode with over 220 km/h and made a woman tear around her steerwheel to fast, when she tried to get out of his way, so that she and her Baby died. Time for a speedlimit in Germany.

Okay, thanx. I'll change the browser. Maybe that'll work. Anyway, very annoying (or at least sad) that Tako will lose his Sekiwake-Rank in Hoshitori. After he made a 14:1 he now has 2 abscences, which will let him drop down the banzuke heavily...

Hi, I have a problem with some Sumo-Games. Me and my brother Tako play all the pre-basho-games. Actually we didn't check on our results in the last tournaments, but only in Juryo-Game and the super-Banzuke. Now I recognize, that in some games one of our choices is ignored. I guess, that there is a block, so that you can't enter 2 entries from one ID, so that i.e. my entry in Sekitori-Oracle was ignored and the last two entries of Tako in Hoshitori where ignored. Before that, my entry was ignored. Same with Fantasy-Sumo, where Tako's entry was ignored. Now is the ID the reason, that one of our choices gets ignored every time? (Not in every game: Juro-Game and Cibersumo i.e. work fine.) Is there any possibility for both of us to play without the need to use an extern computer? :( :( :(

Since Eurosport screened the Paris Basho in 1995 I'm hooked up.

I come from Germany, though I dislike any form of patriotism and don't feel "german" in any way.

I've got a little Problem. Uhem, I made a mistake in writing my name in the Entry-Form... "Usagu" participated instead of Usagi. Now I'd like to correct this, but I can't find an E-Mail-Adress. Completely different problem: While switching through sone of the games my brother Tako and I played, I noticed, that Takos entries for UDH, Fantasy Sumo, GSP had obviously not been transmitted succesfully. He made his Predictions from the same computer with the same browser. Any ideas how this could happen?

But they don't work :( Al I get is a message "Die angegebene Datei konnte nicht gefunden werden" (The connection could not be found) when I click on a bout. What's wrong?

In Germany you get access to the page. There you'll fond the following text. So at least you can change your predictions via E-Mail. Dear players, it seems the Juryo Game suffers from a database bug, since January, 8th, and well, few chances it could start again soon ... Fortunately, the data for 59 players were saved. Check out if you're in the list at the bottom of the page. Thanks. If not, or if you haven't still submitted anything, use the form below to make an attempt. If the submission remains impossible, please send an e-mail at sumotori@free.fr with your shikona, your password, your country and give your 8 choices + the yusho winner + your weakest makuuchi + your ex-juryo + your rising hope and ... here we go ! Sorry for that unexpected problem which prevents all the other pages of the web site, linked to the database, from running ... Sorry, thanks for your patience ... JG will be right back soon ... Try that way , please ... Choose your 8 different Rikishi makin' kachi-koshi :

Asuming you earn 2,5000 Dollars a year you'd have to work 120 years to earn so much money. Of course I'd fight Sapp. But if I were Akebono, who knows. I'd ruin my Name and would lose many contracts for advertisments or TV-Shows or whatever. On the other hand, if fighting is your live, and you are not allowed to practice your sport anymore, maybe it's easy to understand, that you head for a new career. If you retire from Soccer or Baseball or whatever you still may play, but as a Yokozuna you're not allowed, and I guess this is really hard, if it was your live for many years.

Could be Emanuel Yarbrough, the heaviest Sumotori ever. http://amateursumo.com/champions/yarbrough.htm

A picture of Orora is to be found here. And some moe info, if you're able to read russian... http://www.japantoday.ru/sumo/pic/orora.jpg Sumo on Sakhalin? I guess no, as the Japanes People were banned from the island after World War 2 and Stalin braught people from Russia and the Ucraine to Sakhalin.

If I had to name someone I'd say Takatoriki or Kyokushuzan, as I have the feeling, that they lost some bouts for money. But: No proof and so I keep quiet.
-
Positive: Iwakiyama, Toki, Kinkayama Negative: Miyabiyama, Kaiho
-
Though it's boring: Asashoryu. Kaio could stop him, if he's in a good shape and Taikai, but he ist to impetuos (if that's the right word.) Anyway, I was tempted to vote for Kinkaiyama.

Actually I was born in Germany, grew up in Germany and have a German passboard, but as I dislike any kind of patriotism and nationalism and don't think of myself as German, I start under "No Country" or - if that option isn't available - under the flag of Cuba. But my orign is Germany, and so I voted in the poll.

The german footballer Franko Foda made his only Match for the National Team in Brazil. When his Name was read during training, the stadium burst out in laughter, as it translates in Portugese as "free fu**ing". In the Match he then was simply introducd as "Franko".

As I do not follow the Makuuchi on the web but wait for the broadcast on Eurosport I'm only able to play the pre pasho-games (UDH, Hoshitori, Juryo, Roto, GSP, Sekitori Oracle) and GTB as a post basho-game. As I'm only following the Juryo and Makushita Bouts via Internet I'm most interrested in the Juryo Game (which has an outstandingly designed website as well). GTB is also much fun to play as it is very different from all the other games.

Usagi = "rabbit" or "hare" Inspired by the outstanding comic "Usagi Yojimbo" telling the adventures of the Ronin (masterless samurai) Miyamoto Usagi in earl 17th century Japan. The series was originally inspired by the famous Miyamoto Musashi but it is more focused on fantasy. The comic is written by Hawaiian Stan Sakai and is published by Dark Horse-Comics in the US. Sakai has promised a sumo-story once, but didn't show up with one by now. :( [Deutsch bei "Carlsen-Comics" und "Schwarzer Turm"]

I can understand John. First he didn't really make a false start, and second - much more important - this false start-rule is absolutely idiotic and unfair to ban who ever makes a false start after somebody else did produce one. There is no sense in this. This rule should be rechanged imediately. BTW: What a great 3000 Meters Hurdles run. (or however it is called in English) Outstanding! Exciting! Weird!

At the moment, Tochiazuma seams to be lacking physical strength and concentration. He could do much better than he actually does. I think it would be great for Sumo, if he could get Yokozuna one day. A rather good looking japanese guy. That should help Sumo to win back popularity.
