I've followed sumo since Nagoya 1983, when I had a glimpse of the great Chiyonofuji and Kitanoumi on TV during a kendo seminar. Since then, I've survived on books, newpapers, magazines, videos, until the advent of the internet. Nowaday, I can afford a yearly visit to Japan and a few days at the Kokugikan, generally during the May Basho. After reading the forum for years, I've finally decided I had to sign up, if only to thank all the fantastic people who have contributed to my education on sumo related matters and rendered my life bearable between my visits to Japan. A special thank you from me and both my parents to all of you who regularly post videos.

You can find decent chocolate in Japan, but not the Swiss special freshly made Easter or Christmas editions. I've been bringing some to my friends for the last 30 years and I suspect young rikishi might appreciate them too ...
