No, I'm mad about that Takakeisho never even thought about putting his hands down at tachiai! With his hands down PROPERLY, he never could've pulled off this ©®@p! Actually I think that this is a Kyokai problem. If the gyoji are unable to call these faults, they should tell one or two shimpan to watch the hands! Or... in around the 25th century the could install some kind of sensor in the floor of the dohyo... (?) Anyway, this was just unfair, but no, not because of the henka but because of the hands.

No Takakeisho-statement? Hm....

Wait for it... Ura can still make it to Yok first! :D

:D Thanks for the catch! Obviously, it was Oho (as shown on the table below), but I've corrected it.

Day 14Makuuchi1. Endo 2. Takakeisho3. Wakatakakage Juryo1. Ura2. Takakento3. Ichiyamamoto STANDINGS Overall Makuuchi: 1. Takakeisho (23 pts) 2. Wakatakage (14 pts) 3. Meisei (13 pts) 4. Hoshoryu | Endo (both 7pts) 6. Enho (6 pts) Wakatakakage is going to senshuraku with a 1-point advantage before Meisei, but also: say hello to Endo, who just appeared in the TOP5. Can he pass Hoshoryu on the last day? Overall Juryo: 1. Ura (30 pts) 2. Takakento (17 pts) 3. Oho | Nishikigi (both 7pts) 5. Takagenji | Enho (both 5 pts) Yesterday's questions haven't been answered yet, but Ichiyamamoto claimed 8th place in overall with today's bronze. He's only 2 points behind Takagenji and Enho! Can he get second place (or better) on the last day, and can he penetrate the TOP5 list?

My bad. :) I might be a little too tired and a little too hungarian for asking questions in these late hours... :D Seiyashi is right, I might have misunderstood Kinta.

But what if Hakuho retires after the (planned) Olympic Games? IF: - Terunofuji wins in May AND July (after winning March) - There is no other viable candidate in the Ozeki ranks (Asanoyama out, Takakeisho flukes again, Shodai stays Shodai) - AND there is no Yok on the top of the Banzuke in September Wouldn't it make sense for the Kyokai to go for a (hope-to-be-)last mongolian Yokozuna (with those knees), while they're trying to figure out who to build up after Asanoyama? So in other words: why are you so sure, it cannot happen?

Day 13Makuuchi1. Endo 2. Meisei3. Wakatakakage | Hoshoryu | Terunofuji (wow, I can't remember seeing a threeway before...)Juryo1. Ura2. Takakento3. Oho STANDINGS Overall Makuuchi: 1. Takakeisho (21 pts) 2. Wakatakage | Meisei (both 13 pts) 4. Hoshoryu (7 pts) 5. Enho (6 pts) Takakeisho's win is a done deal, but there's a big fight for 2nd place between Wakatakakage and Meisei, and also for the 4th (but of course it's not that easy for Enho to gain more points in Makuuchi)! Anyway, it will all go down on this weekend. Overall Juryo: 1. Ura (27 pts) 2. Takakento (15 pts) 3. Oho | Nishikigi (both 7pts) 5. Takagenji | Enho (both 5 pts) Oho or Nishikigi? Takagenji or Enho? We'll see! :)

Wow! Kotonowaka and Chiyotairyu are new names on the list... I wonder what's the deal with them, I mean do they have personal kensho, or they are just fishing from other guys?

So, another overstep, then: Behold the leaderboard for most spirited rikishi - after Nakabi! The method is simple. I gave 3 points for the winners, 2 points for second places, and 1 point for a bronze medal - each day. I hope you'll enjoy!
