    Trivia bits

It is remarkable that we could argue that Hakuho holds also 2nd place here for a 7-basho stint (Hatsu 2011 to Haru 2012, if we consider Natsu 2011 as an actual basho, 6 otherwise)

Results GTB- Kyushu Basho 2021- 139 entries, 11 newbies

That's nice, at least I have some kind of record here The Asanoyama/Kotoeko swap is big enough, quite a bit of luck here, they could have split the 7-8 pack

Whaw! 76 points, that sounds like a one-in-a-lifetime performance Glad to be back on the top spot after more than 5 years, and against that many players @Kintamayama So who else did a 76-pointer in GTB history? And can you tell me if 37 bulls-eye is also a record? Many thanks for running this game

    Hakuho retires

Ringside rikishi can, and if I remember correctly Hakuho already did

    Asahifuji kanreki dohyo-iri

To have Harumafuji and Aminishiki is unexpected to me and yet so obvious once it is announced. I am so very happy to see my two favourite rikishi by the side of their heya master, and I am looking forward to see a video of this ceremony. And after all, isn't Aminishiki bound to be the next Isegahama? That's a nice picture

    Hakuho retires

That is unexpected, I would have thought that he would give a shot at yusho 46. But I guess now that the Olympics are passed, he feels like his time has passed, and doesn't want to risk his knee. It might be a wise decision then, and he leaves with a last zensho yusho, which is great. Definitively the end of an era. I am watching sumo since Haru 2006, and he is the last makuuchi from Haru 2006 banzuke to retire. Leaving only Dairaido in the then-sekitori ranks. Amazing longevity, that's a career for the ages.

    Aki 2021-GTB - RESULTS!! - 140 entries (22 newbies)

Same for me, but since I appear in the list of players that applied I guess it is fine (both of you are also in the list)

    Terunofuji is the 73rd Yokozuna.

Congratulations to him. What an achievement! What a comeback! That's for sure a comeback for the ages And what an amazing achievement for Isegahama, two yokozuna promotions within a decade. Great job!

The Bench Euros 2020 (taking place in 2021)

And I just noticed that for the secobd time in a row, my (R) team wins the actual competition

The Bench Euros 2020 (taking place in 2021)

My chain brakes in slot 10 so I couldn't score. My understanding is that we need a shootout. Let's wait until Jejima weeps his tears (I feel sorry for you btw, I know it was long awaited)

The Bench Euros 2020 (taking place in 2021)

I am very happy of this, but why can't my opponent score in slot 1? His chain is not broken in extra time... Can I call a mono-ii on this? Or am I mistaken?

I believe you, all those slots confuse me a bit. Also, FORZA ITALIA!!!

The Bench Euros 2020 (taking place in 2021)

I think my only chance now is Italy winning ET. Any other combination will see me lose, if I am not mistaken

The Bench Euros 2020 (taking place in 2021)

No worry, I'm in, just sent you my line-up I have to give my maximum to beat @Terarno, and I still hope for some last minute information. Unless all water already left my opponent's body through his eyes after last Monday night, and he dried up like a prune... (I hope not!)

The Bench Euros 2020 (taking place in 2021)

I guess it will depend on the combination of groups of the 4 best 3rds. The way they are allocated to the 4 slots depends on where they come from, and there is little chance that the real tournament and our tournament have the best 3rd ranked in the exact same 4 groups. The Wikipedia page for Euro 2020 shows all posibilities and corresponding allocations.

GTB Nagoya 2021- 127 entries and results!!

Also, it seems that my choice to promote Ichiyamamoto instead of Yutakayama is not the most popular...

GTB Nagoya 2021- 127 entries and results!!

    Some recent cases Hatsu AND Aki 2009 Y1e Hakuho 14-1 D and Y1w Asashoryu 14-1 Y => Haru AND Kyushu banzuke Asashoryu is Y1e, Hakuho Y1w For ozeki, see Hatsu 2002 : O2e Chiyotaikai 13-2 D and O2w Tochiazuma 13-2 Y => Haru banzuke gives Tochiazuma as O1e and Chiyotaikai as O1w

    Identify rikishi please

Facial features do match, nov 2015 was his very first tournament in the salaried ranks, so it fits the silk yutaka. He was 26 back then, which is credible by the picture. I think Asashosakari's guess is correct.
