Funny videos and photos of rikishi at play

http://ameblo.jp/ami-nishiki/image-12064947118-13404344602.html From Aminishiki's blog a few months ago That IS weird and scary!
  2. Had to wait two long years to see my man Harumafuji win his 7th yusho, but it was all worth it. Hopefully the eight one comes faster. So, we got four different yusho winners this year. I think that's the most I've seen during the few years I've been following. Looking forward to next year now. Mitakeumi did well in his makuuchi debut, Shoudai is joining makuuchi in January, Ura is looking good. Plenty of Japanese hopefuls. Looking forward seeing how Homarenishiki develops. Is Ichinojou going to get down some weight and start delivering? How long will Hakuhou remain as the west yokozuna? When will Terunofuji become yokozuna? Questions waiting to be asnwered.
  3. Regarding Hakuhou's supposed altruism. I seem to recall him having said sometime that as a yokozuna it is his duty to win every basho he attends to.
  4. Anyone thinking Hakuhou would just throw up a yusho to help out fellow Mongolian should rewatch how "easily" he gave Harumafuji his yokozuna promotion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRwq5rF85cE
  5. Yay, Harumafujiiii!!! Time for that 7th yūshō! Two years is a long wait.
  6. I think recently (last basho?) there was also a case of cameraman getting bloody nose after falling rikishi hit his face.
  7. Aminishiki is doing better at maegashira 3 than I would have expected. He has pretty much won against everyone you can reasonably expect him to win.
  8. I watched some of Orora's matches and he must have the world record for slowest tachiais. Just him getting moving seems to take ages. Anyway, about today. I'm starting to think Yoshikaze visited some spooky shrine during full moon, sacrificed blood of virgins, and is now posessed by the hungry ghost of some former yokozuna.
  9. I remember Gagamaru having some nice rolls as well.

    Hello

Greetings from Finland. I've been following sumo via youtube (and couple times live while visiting Japan) since Nagoya basho 2012. Mostly through Jason's All-Sumo channel and Kintamayama's channel. I've been greatly enjoying the comments and discussions on youtube, so I finally decided to join the forum as well in hope of more comments and discussions. Looking forward to some interesting sumo talks here as well.
