Basho Talk - Natsu Basho 2016 +++ Spoiler Alert! +++
wuli replied to WAKATAKE's topic in Honbasho Talk
Believe me Kise will win tomorrow... ... done on to nagoya -
just because you are so special; may it quench your thirst perfectly- there is nothing to disclaim yes, it is all guess work (anyone with inside knowledge keeps it to herself, so inside info is not a part of this thread or these considerations, so far) there is no point in trying to reach some completion point of absolute truth, which is impossible just trying to get a little closer to it, and challenge what looks like fraud along the way threads about statistics can be based on fact this thread has only opinions; kinda self evident, eh?

I think you do have a problem with Hakuhou being bested. Your words don't add up. ok let's try again- hakuho is not invincible; he has been legitimately defeated, more than once hakuho is dominant, to the degree that he collects bashos at will; he also dispenses well considered gifts, to give a few others a chance up high the challenge, and one the champion has been more than generous in meeting, is to create an impression that there is more competition up high he always must find a believable way to wrestle down, to not blow everybody out of the water so, the boss can be bested, and when it happens, how sweet it is (see? i love it when hakuho loses) but, don't hold your breath; he doesn't get beat for real very often -clear enough now?

Asashosakari, on 21 May 2016 - 02:58, said: Believe me Kise will win tomorrow... this interesting prediction for a day 15 underdog is from dapeng, at the yusho talk thread i think dapeng is one of the most astute observers at this forum i'll be watching the match closely does anyone else here see the narrative being pushed forward to nagoya?

once again, evidencing that without support from the mongols at top, nothing happens likewise, with support from the dominating mongols, anything, and i do mean anything, is possible (see 'giku, january '16)
-
if teru is not demonstrating that a non-japanese ozeki can fail miserably (just like 'giku and goeido), what in the world has he just walked through 12 straight losses for? please, please, don't say it is something about 'honor' how about THE MAN'S KNEES ARE BLOWN OUT so, when the knees are blown out, the answer is to walk through as many losses as possible?

no one has a problem that hakuho is bested once in a blue moon it's great to see when it happens the conflict comes from his need to gift, so as not to dominate sumo to death

hakuho's decline ha, ha ha, ha ha ha ha -
at least we now have mention- whereas sumo world today revolves around hakuho, previously it revolved around asashoryu i think everybody here already knew that calling them infallible is a little exaggerated, but not much looks like other contributors have given up on poor kisenosato that's too bad, when his only crime so far is losing to hakuho
-
all is not lost yet if a couple yokozuna lay down for kisenosato, and hakuho lays down for them, bingo! all of the joy of having yokozuna yusho winner kise', and no playoff one can always hope though that hakuho is such a meanie, he probably won't cooperate
-
considering a phone upgrade? artist deek jackson weighs in:
-
then, perhaps the issue is one of degree
-
is it really possible to maintain a position that hakuho does not dominate today's sumo?
-
you are right about ichinojo ichi' surprised even himself, downing the boss hence the ugly face push that followed even the biggest boss will goof, once in a while yes, hakuho is that good who else piles up 63 in a row these days? until the passing of more moons, to age him along, the king giveth, and the the king taketh away
