Life can be cruel
It had been so sweet before
But now it's a hellGone are the glories,
Remaining is a nightmare,
There is no escapeYou try to hang on
But it'is slipping away
Everyone knows itigniominiously
with honour fretted away,
the fight is over. This fall is painful,
Its wound will need long healing
But there is a cure.A new life awaits
with Oyakata honour
and regained respectAlways remembered
as the national champion
ending a long drought.-

Sad but inevitable, it was high time to face the painful truth. This is better than to be given a recommendation and he will surely be honoured for it.
Yes, a separate thread please.

The yearbook is available :
https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/4583112033/ref=pe_492632_159100282_TE_item
I just got myself a copy. Shipping to Germany doubles the price, but EUR 17,51 still isn't so bad for this very useful item.

While it's commendable to know the reasoning, that is whole lot of text that I had to read three times and I'm still unsure of what the final ruling is.
Why not just summarize your suggestion in clear terms? -
Wow, these are amazing! Thanks for posting them.

Alas, budgetary constraints have forced me to cancel my plan to visit Tokyo and the Natsu Basho in May this year.

If he manages that, he will have broken some records. Of course he aims to rise quickly, in as few steps as possible. But by the time he could reach the Makushita joi, the current crop of talented guys will have gained the experience to give him serious trouble. Staying "perfectly healthy" fighting his way back to the top is... improbable... but nothing would please me more than to see him get back.

Is he still a part-time coach at Isegahama-beya?

Hello and welcome to the realm of those who post! There are many European members who share your Eurosport experience. Ozeki Kaio was one of my favourites way back then too.

If I am absent for a long time and want to type two days in advance, it would be good if I get with an IF the same conditions, that all players know has gotten before the pick for Day 2, that the rikishi is already selected on Day 1.
But if you just want to sleep, give the point to that player that sets his alarm and then check if his Rikishi A has announced for the deadline that he will not compete! There is no "right" or "wrong" here, it's just a matter of preference. My preference is to have an uninterrupted sleep.

But it's a bad sign that he didn't do any sumo today. He should be training with increasing intensity at this point, it can't be that he is at his peak and ready. Just doing light stuff and choosing not to show himself to any opponents means that he needs the rest and that the basho is probably going to be his last one...
Come on Kisenosato... prove me wrong! Get the yusho!!

7 hours ago, Gurowake said:from the post about multiple pick for any situation of kyujo before the basho, i read that such entries are ok
I think the rule was used only once for setting picks for multiple days or multiple picks for one day... that kind of thing quickly becomes an awkward if-then-else... I doubt it gives an advantage to the player. I'm just glad that the rule allows me to set an alternate pick when I think that my first pick might go kyujo while I am asleep. When I am absent for a longer period I just forfeit.
I am sorry that you left the game. -

When was this notice of dissatisfaction issued? Immediately after the 0-4 kyujo or this Monday?

happened to Takanoiwa?
In view of his history I think it was only a matter of time before this troubled character would spark another violence incident that would put pressure on him to leave. The only thing that surprised me is that it happened so soon.

One wonders if he will make an appearance in Hatsu 2019. Hadn't he been doing some training?
