That's in keeping with the 'shisei ikkan' motto which is to reach for honesty always.

Not as the mass gathering it normally is... I don't see how that can be done without increased risk.

Political correctness is the death of subtle, intelligent comedy. When the masses start censoring the Idiot's Lantern, outrageous voices are silenced. In that increasingly toned down dumbed down environment, programs like My Music already disappeared together with the brilliance of Frank Muir and Dennis Norden. All gone now and hardly anyone remembers them now... oh well, I am just an old biddy that grew up with the Goon Show and Mornington Crescent. Auntie is doing her level best to cater for the YouTube generation.
Has anyone here ever seen 'Fo a Fe'? That was a brilliant Welsh sitcom based on the differences between the North and the South.

In terms of comedy, Only Fools and Horses, Fawlty Towers, Porridge, 'Allo 'Allo, Open All Hours, One Foot In The Grave, Blackadder, Are You Being Served?, The Fall and Rise Of Reginald Perrin, Dad's Army, Keeping Up Appearances, The Detectives, The Green Green Grass, On The Buses and Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em.

I can spend an evening bingewatching with you then...
aaahh, Reginald Perrin.
Not to forget You Rang, m'Lord? Chef! The Good Life To the Manor Born and dear old George and Mildred... doesn't Yes, Minister qualify?

Iwasaki caught my eye from his first appearance in Maezumo and I never stopped rooting for him. Back then, he was thin as a stick and had technique, speed and ring sense combined with cleverness. He rose and became the Flying Monkey and acquired the bulk he needed to fight to the top but never lost that exciting cleverness and it's great to see him in Makuuchi now. WELL DONE!

Didn't the former Takanohana-beya have a high ratio of sekitori?

Yes, that's what I thought.

Thanks for the pics. That's some serious wrapping on Terunofuji's legs, looks complicated.

You can't know that nothing happened. It takes weeks before a contamination can be confirmed, the basho ended just days ago.

Yes, but those were hardly 'hanging offenses', were they? Intai sounds like there are irreconcilable differences that could never come to right. Whereas I thought Abi was just being immature and irresponsible and could do with some lessons.

What?? How many warnings has he had before this? Seems harsh and out of the blue -- they could have suspended him for 1 or 2 basho, surely? Compare this to Takayoshitoshi/Takanofuji who got so many chances before intai became inevitable.
Yusho or Rank?

One wonders if Hattorizakura will stay on in some capacity after his body gets too battered to continue the losing streak.
