Haru 2014 discussion thread **probable spoilers**

Plenty of excitement on the final day, special congratulations to Kakuryu. It was good to see Osunaarashi (can we agree on one spelling, please) finally get his kachi-koshi, I was all set to look up how many others in Makuuchi had won 7 then lost eight. There is certainly plenty of developing talent amongst the younger crop of rikishi. It was also good to see Homasho, Tokitenku, and Wakanosato in Juryo, and Takekaze, Yoshikaze, most especially, Kyokutenho in the top division all demonstrating the over 30s can still cut it.

Here is a list of Takanoyama's first bouts (hatsu kao) as a sekitori. His record for first bouts is 15-14, much better than his overall record as a sekitori. Oh, and welcome to the Forum! :-) Thanks for doing the query and for the welcome. :-)

Oosunarashi still has a lot to learn, Takanoyama is such an unusual rikishi to face. I wonder how many lose forst time against the Czech?
