Nishikido situation; split from kyujo thread

Well... Errr.... For me not being native English it's actually easier to understand what a futon is than... What the damn F*** is a 'snark'?! :D

    Predictions thread Natsu 2016

I predict: - The usual yaocho discussion will start on day 12 - The usual Ozeki help themselves out from not getting kadoban discussion will not start befor day 13 this tournament - Gagamaru will remain staying on his neverending Ozeki run - Osunaarashi and Endo will fight against each other on nakabi - Font day will be the nicest day on Youtube, Kimono day in Kokugikan - One act of behaviour of Hakuho on the dohyo will lead to much discussion - We will see a perfectly executed Kotobauer - Ikioi will be the best singer on a post basho party - Asashosakari will start his 'promotion/ demotion thread' on day 10 - Fay will attend the yusho party - Akinomaki will tell us all about the silly stuff you can buy at fan shops in Kokugikan :-)

    Greetings from Brazil!

Welcome to the forum! I like that. Sounds very sweet. Now bettega has a fellow countrywoman to discuss Kaisei... ;-)

It's a sumo world in Kawasaki

That's so Japanese and obvious that I didn't get it on my own... (Blushing...) Thanks for pointing that out.

    New Juryo for Natsu 2016

He is in Kise beya not Oitekaze. I'd guess 大茄子 (Ōnasu) would work in almost any stable... ;-) BTW, are there any special shikona rules in Kise-beya?

Promotion/Demotion and Yusho discussion Haru 2016

Actually, I found the 7:1 quite entertaining. ;-) If you want to cheer up, remember 2002 when you bet us hoplessly to nil in the final. :( Despite football games, I have every respect for your patriotic support for Kaisei, and I share your wish seeing him in sanyaku ranks next basho. For quite some time now he is constantly staying in upper Makuuchi ranks whithout greater attention. Will be a good thing to see him there. While talking about Kaisei... Can you tell us something about media coverage he gets in Brazil?

    Kensho for Haru 2016

Final Day: 1. Hakuho 343 2. Kisenosato 174 3. Goeido 157 4. Kakuryu 146 5. Harumafuji 134 6. Terunofuji 101 7. Kotoshogiku 74 8. Kotoyuki 48 9. Takarafuji 42 10 Toyonoshima 41 The Harumafuji - Hakuho bout had 'only' 45 kensho in it. Not the allowed maximum. Goeido vs. Kisenosato had 32 in it. Osunaarashi today missed the chance to grab 1 (or 2) kensho in his crossover bout against Daishomaru, he got one on day 3 against Akiseyama. Thanks for reading. See you in May.

    Day 11: 1. Hakuho 213 2. Goeido 129 3. Kakuryu 106 4. Kisenosato 102 5. Harumafuji 94 6. Terunofuji 74 7. Kotoshogiku 66 8. Kotoyuki 36 8. Toyonoshima 36 10 Takarafuji 33
  19. Terunofujis Ozeki-run didn't start at M2, but at S with the 13-2 Jun-yusho. The Jun-Yusho and Yusho almost qualifies to Yokozuna-hood, it qualifies for Ozeki on itself, if I'm not misled.

    Kensho for Haru 2016

Day 9: Yes, sort of. :-( Yesterday, suddenly the DNS went down on my network. So I couldn' get into this new 'interweb' or whatever you call it. I'm living on such an unreliable network... *grumpf* If somebody has made a copy of day 9, pls jump in.

  24. This giant power uwatenage was worth every pattern break, i guess. ;)
  25. Sokokurai is not a chinese. He is a Mongolian. The DB says "China, Inner Mongolia". Inner Mongolia should not be confused with the country Mongolia. Inner Mongolia is a region in China.
