Walked along there plenty of times but never noticed. Well, if Orora ever makes a holiday trip to Berlin he can go shopping as any other tourist does.

Lower-division Torikumi Day 2 Nagoya Basho 2015
torquato replied to Naganoyama's topic in Honbasho Talk
The Canadians first real fight. -
A very unusual long fight for Hakuho.

Thanks a lot Kinto. がんばれ。

What's the current status for Niji? Could someone report? I had a hard drive crash a week ago. First time in my live with a serious loss of data. What a schlepp. Now trying to prepare for the Nagoya basho. Instaling Niji in a newly installed Win in a newly installed VM... Well, couldn't download Niji from the official site. A File I found somehow somehwere on the web installs and runs, but gives a network error on login. Just want to sanity check if it's my fault or Niji is really not working.

This is a part/ an extract of an episode of the Begin Japanology series about nabe cuisine. The whole episode can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mQG3tC3jkE The extract starts at min. 9:20. It's worthwhile watching also the rest of the Begin Japanology episode.

Hakuho expects to do only 2, 3 years more and more
torquato replied to Akinomaki's topic in Ozumo Discussions
The question will probably also what effect the Olympics will have to the preceding Tokyo tournament. The Kokugikan will be housing the boxing competitions. Will two months be enough time in between for preparations and maybe refurbishment? -
Ah. I see.^^ ;-) BTW, アルバイト is a German loan word. It derives from the German word 'Arbeit' which means work, employment, job.

Errr.... What ist that???

Thanks for jumping in and filling the gap.^^

Yeah, avulsion fracture of the left acromion, which is a word I'd never heard of before now.No wonder, the German wikipedia doesn't even have an entry for it. Maybe Germans don't have it? :-O Since it is a part of the shoulder blade you can find it there as a subsection. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schulterblatt#Acromion Two shoulder blade fractures in one tournament... Mhhh...

A fantastic extra kettei-sen tournament... \o/ :-D BTW: Yoshikaze could also join this crowd. Uhh.

As to the result, it was worth every penny... :-D

WTF!!!!

So how were your keiko results against her? She looks quite strong. :-) I don't read comments on such and similiar topics anymore. You always know in advance what ignorance and insults are going to...

WOW! That's amazing! Don't we have a thread "Greatest bouts ever, everyone needs to watch"? This one clearly belongs in there...

Nope, that's why he wrote "nil". Yokozuna promotion just starts from scratch with ozeki debut and is not based on the ozeki-clinching basho. Yes. A Yokozuna is only an Oseki, however a distinguished Oseki. You must be Oseki first to become a distinguished Oseki. In natsu 2006 Hak got his first Yusho as Oseki. The following tournament he became second and was not promoted to Yokozuna. Even nowadays he would not have been promoted. He was second after the regular 15 bouts, but not in the (shared) lead. Kakuryu was in his second tournament that led to promotion in the lead after the regular bouts. He was, as to say, in yusho position. That is the difference.
