    Takanohana transported to hospital

He's already been discharged from the hospital without elaborating. Could have been heat stroke.

    Basho Talk Natsu 2018 (SPOILERS)

Kakuryu has no shame. I would expect nothing less than a henka from the mediocre Yokozuna desperate to add to his paltry yusho wins. He has done it TWICE in the same match vs. Kisenosato, Aki Basho 2015, day 14:

    Basho Talk Haru 2018 (SPOILERS)

Doesn't look like he did. Kind of close though. I was expecting a torinaoshi.
  5. I believe it will start at 4:00 AM on the US East Coast, as Daylight Saving Time begins Sunday, March 11 at 2:00 AM.

    Osunaarashi scandal

I'm curious about his original fabricated story and what exactly was he protecting his pregnant wife from? Possible stress or something else?

    Basho Talk Kyushu 2017 (SPOILERS)

Yes, I understand they're not supposed to take anything into account that isn't related to this basho. I believe i made that clear in the last paragraph of my last post, based on their decision, I believe they still do. Regardless, in this basho, he's still 39 years old, his knees are shot, he will most likely retire soon, and he still has more heart and puts in more effort and shows more fighting spirit than some Sekitori a lot younger than him that are higher ranked & had better winning records this basho. I could see the argument if he received the Gino-sho "style points" award, but he didn't. He received a fighting spirit award.

    Basho Talk Kyushu 2017 (SPOILERS)

At thirty-nine years old, the oldest Sekitori, who rather than intai, battles his way back through injury to top division sumo and gets a kachi-koshi on day 15. That's the very definition of fighting spirit. I suppose they took that into consideration, not just his W-L record and Maegashira ranking for the basho.

Basho Talk - Aki 2017 (SPOILERS)

Harumafuji absorbed Mitakeumi's fighting spirit with that end of bout nodowa in Nagoya on day 12. He hasn't been the same since.

    BASHO TALK -- Natsu 2017 -- SPOILERS

Aoiyama & Kagayaki should go shopping together.
  14. I watch plenty of Sumo and Aoiyama is one of the few Rikishi that Kisenosato seems to consistently have trouble with. Kisenosato Winning 11 out of their 17 matchups isn't exactly total domination, and one of those matchups was a fusen win.
  15. Oh my god, he did it twice! I didnt even notice! Hak knows how much better he is than most of his opponents and I think he wanted to show that Tochiozan's win last basho was a fluke rather than the norm. In other words, a sore loser with a huge ego who went out of his way to embarrass his opponent. Childish antics at best.
