  5. Instead of changing the link on the SB daily maybe you could do a variant of what UDH does. That game has one post in the Games section for all things UDH, and links to game info are posted in that thread. You could create a similar "central switchboard" post for TUG that SB could link to (it would be consistent for a full basho), and then have links to all the other TUG content posts you already make in the switchboard post (content posts could be either in the forum or on the web - if you're still using survey monkey for entries, you have a partial web move already). No commentary in the switchboard though, keep the switchboard clean and comments stay in the content posts. IMO
  6. Very interesting article. I think writer JJ O' Donoghue did a good job explaining the sumo stuff (or perhaps John made sure he got it right!) Would have loved to have been with the Green Army during and after the match with Germany in the 2002 WC (hey, great grandpa was from Co. Down) So what's next on your bucket list, John?
  7. I agree with Jejima about TUG. I was an early player of that game, and although I no longer play it I think it is every bit a SB game. I also agree (partly) with Jakusotsu about the qualification rules for SB. A minimum number of players, OK. TUG had 35 in the last basho. However I don't see why an automated entry procedure should have anything to do with anything. Something like that almost makes it seem as if someone at some time somewhere along the line decided to restrict things based on the game runner's tech skills, programming skills, or number of friends the game runner has with tech/programming skills who are willing to help out. . In any case, I think TUG does have some kind of automated entry system already - when I played every day there was a new link to the page to make your entry selection for that day.

    Drunken driving rikishi?

One or two basho suspension for the oyakata? As you originally posted, not only has this been a point of education by the NSK, but this has happened before in the recent past at Ootake beya. Making it worse, Ootake-oyakata did not know his deshi had a drivers license in the first place.

    Videos Kyushu 2018 - Days 1-15

Just checking to see if this Day 14 video was a re-post of Day 13 or a title caption error on the video (saying it's day 13). It appears to be a title/caption error. As many videos you do, there's an amazingly low error rate in what is posted. Congratulations!

    Drunken driving rikishi?

Yes, but I read the question as being about driving in general. Since there is no rule of law against rikishi driving, if rikishi meet the legal requirements they can drive all they want in the eyes of the state. Rikishi driving is only a problem in the eyes of the NSK. As for the current case, the only legal charge being brought is for not reporting an accident (no drunk driving charge, no charge for *having* an accident - police can't prove anything like that), and the penalty for not reporting appears to be a small fine (20,000 yen). This is probably going to be a bigger thing to the NSK for breaking their rules.

    Drunken driving rikishi?

It's a sumo rule, not a law law, only punishable by NSK/stablemaster.
