Well Kyokai changed their minds on the initial announcement coming out with some penalties.

They met with Takanoiwa last night and have till the 28th to go through that evidence before making penalty decisions on all concerned.

And now Takanohana refuses to speak with Crisis Management team within Kyokai when asked to answer questions.

Years ago there was a thread on which style forumites preferred. Anyone have stats that show across all divisions as to which is more common. I understand in training as newbies enter sumo that Oshi is more common learning to move forward but in tournaments what is the most common. Rikishi profiles indicate their preferred style but that rarely is altered in the profiles when a rikishi changes his preference as time goes by.

If it comes down to a playoff my records show Ama/Harumafuji has been in 4 winning 3 while Goeido has only been in one and lost. Is that about right?

You forgot Terutsuyoshi but he is OK at 6-5.

Harumafuji said before the basho when he knew he was the only Yokozuna that even if he is banged up it is his responsibility as sole Yokozuna to fight all 15 days.

Some egos running full on about who said what first declaring Onosho but no matter who wins this yusho it will go down in the short term as one of the shallowest victories. Long term, multiple absentees will be forgotten and the win will be in the books.
