I don't anymore. eDonkey is not the proper way of distributing this type of data, too much hassle, not enough reliability (I was actually using mldonkey). BitTorrent is probably better, but I didn't find anything that would allow me to control my machine remotely like I wanted. I'm still willing to upload them to anyone with a good server though. Beware, these movies are between 120 and 160 megs (3 to 4 hours), and that's everyday. The day I'll find a workable solution, I'll restart distributing them.

Oh, and please don't forget to keep your p2p software running once you're finished, and do not remove previous days videos from your shared directory. This way others get them faster too.

Like last time, I'm offering the daily sumolive recordings on the eDonkey network. Copy and paste the following piece of code in the appropriate box of your favorite ed2k client: ed2k://|file|sumo20040509.asf|128200704|769EAB381C4CF628B124BE9C84C30164|/ I'm afraid I can't offer a one-click link as I do on www.info-sumo.net, but these boards don't allow it. First day of the basho, so here's a short recap of how to use it. I'm not a windows user, but I seem to remember that eMule is pretty famous, and it has a box called (I think) "ED2K links handler (direct downloads)" at the bottom. That's the one where you should paste the above code. Other programs you can use to download are eDonkey2000, Overnet, aMule, xMule, mldonkey and probably many others.

There are many possible reasons. Most probably, it's because Overnet uses a slightly different protocol which makes it difficult for files available in very low numbers to be found. I know people successfully downloaded these files using eMule. Anyway, this was only a backup solution since my paid-for account was locked a few days before the basho. If you're still interested in these files, tell me and I'll arrange something. I'm going to work on a different solution for next time. It won't be as easy as it was for Hatsu basho in january, but if it works it will be good enough. If it doesn't, I'm not sure I will continue serving the sumolive recordings, as doing so on the eDonkey network is too much trouble. Really. If anybody here knows where I can upload about 130 MB daily, with no download quotas, and ideally http access for downloaders, please tell me.
