except from Asasekiryu (i hope he will prove me wrong) all of the listed rikishi look great or promising (even Kyokushuzan with his steping-back sumo). special mention to: Asashoryu who is a league of his own Shuzan and Tenho who have great technique Kokkai who is a rising power (he could win a basho in a year or so if he remain in the lower ranks and don't rush to the top....... :-D ) Kotooshu who is gigantic and with the right training could go very high (i haven't seen him fight ever but with this body he could go far).

Just take a look left........... MUSHASHIMARUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU ......Akebono was better when you think about it objectively but who cares?.................and he fought, that mockery of a fighter, Saap in K-1 ? ............pleeeeease :-D

you are way off............... i couldn't think of a name and i used my favourite football team's name....... (In a state of confusion...) as for the topic....... i think Chiyo can make one yusho but with Zuma's performance this basho i can't think of another one. If Asa remains injury-free it is very tough to be beaten by these Ozekis.And to win a basho it is nessesary to beat Asa as it looks like.......

I guess when i actually go to Japan and watch a basho live than i can say my opinion.I cannot even watch it "live" on TV here in Greece. My experience (from football) tells me that you don't go to a match to have better view, but to live the experience (the sounds,the smells,the atmosphere)

i follow sumo the last five years (since i discovered it on Eurosport) mostly through the internet. I watch the games recorded on the net and on Eurosport whenever they are on....... i think that i am the only fan of sumo in Greece because i haven't found another one over the years and when i tell someone about the rikishis and the bashos he gives me " the look " (In a state of confusion...)......... do you know a sattelite channel in Europe that broadcasts the bashos live?

I think a consecutive 15-0 is a bit much but he looks so dominant. I have to vote for 15-0 since i cannot think of anyone that can beat him (maybe Kaio?) he needs a great performance and a yusho outside Tokyo and this is the best chance he will get, since everyone is so mediocre.......

I like Kaio because he is fearsome when he enters the dohyo and looks at the opponent. He is the only one that holds a winning record over Asashoryu (not for long as it seems.....) and when he wins he usually wins in an emphatic way......

Hi guys....first post............ (Laughing...) i think that Asashoryu's dominance is at it's beggining.I cannot see an opponent that is in his league at this point. the Ozeki's look a bit tired and old (Musoyama,Kaio) or doesn't have the consistency to be Yokozuna (Chiyo,Tochiazuma). Even if a surprise rikishi from the lower ranks can grab a basho, an Ozeki must make his mark to ruin Asa's 5 bashos this year.And the only Ozeki to do so is Chiyotaikai in my opoinion.......
