    Kaio vs. Asashoryu

He receives back the favour when he's kadoban next basho. Oh, wait... Everything is possible, we know, but it's strange, I think, Asashoryu sells his bout when he can arrive near to the leaders! And he must rescue his crisis! I don't think has been a yaocho case. (Danpatsu-shiki...)

I'm really, really sad for this Intai! I'm a Dejima support from much time! I've sent a mail some years ago to the Musashigawa-Beya for him! With his "bean" body and his aggressive Tachi-Ai, like a japanese missile...what an incredible rikishi! And he has been an old Ozeki!.. ...bye bye, my hero (Danpatsu-shiki...)

    Shi-Tai and Isamiashi

Hi guys, during the win of Asashoryu against Aran, with a wonderful Tsuridashi, I've noted a feet of Asa outside from the Tawara! Maybe pushed before than Aran falls down. Maybe! Because it's only an impression, but if this is it...what's kind of difference exists between Shi-Tai rule and Isamiashi Kimarite? PS: Sorry for my poor description... :-)

Ok! Perfect! I've understood! Many thanks, Doitsu!

    Shi-Tai and Isamiashi

Firstly it's called shinitai (literally meaning dead body). Then isamiashi isn't a real kimarite, but a "losing technique" - ok, that's real nitpicking. Now to your real question, there is a difference between tsuridashi and other techniques - with a tsuridashi you are actually allowed to go out first as long as you are carrying the opponent. So in case of a tsuridashi it's not really a question of shinitai (except that the opponent could be considered shinitai being carried but I don't think so as the match often is far from over). Mmm...Interesting, but I've some doubt. Few basho ago, Kotomitsuki lost his match against Kakuryu, during a Yorikiri, for Isamiashi. Kakuryu was "dead", b'cause he was in the hands of Kotomitsuki, on the tawara. Without possibility of opposition. But while Kotomickey pushed him across the tawara, the Ozeki lean the foot out of the line and lost for Isamiashi. Why? It wasn't the same situation? It wasn't a Tsuridashi, but the oppositor was "dead"... :-)

If you meant Sumo Reference, I just have added the mae-zumo rikishi, and he is among the four (or more if another banzuke-gai guy joins them). Many thanks

    Asashouryuu preparations- July 2009

Good Kimarite, but if you remember well, Asa tried to make a Tsuridashi against Haruma at the last Basho also. But after this waza, Harumafuji made a fabulous Sotogake and won. Maybe the Tsuridashi isn't so lucky for Asa. :-)

    Harumafuji tsunatori cheering thread

He study his enema... (Oshidashi...) With a great deal of (Showing respect...) , I think you meant enemy? But you're correct. I think Kakuryu is underated, as is Aran, when he's not resorting to cheap stuff. Goeido and Kise are definitely two people who could give Harumafuji a rough time, just as long as they both remember the lovely henka back in May. (Oshidashi...) (Sign of approval...) Oh, yes! I'm sorry for the stroke's error! For Kakuryu and Goeido we're agree. For Aran I don't know. I haven't a complete vision about him and I prefer waiting for another couple of basho. In this moment I'm seeing him like a good rikishi but only for defensive Sumo. He isn't very aggressive. Kisenosato is a strange case. He is very young again, it's true. But I don't see a real progress about him. He is strong, has a clean classic technic and complete bases for his Sumo, but loses himself very often. I don'y know wich kind of problem he has, but at every beautiful tournment, ever follows a falling. It's only a "psicological woodworm"? (Uwatenage...)

    Harumafuji tsunatori cheering thread

Really. Kakuryu become stronger basho after basho. He is fast on the Tachi-Ai, much aggressive and intelligent. He study his enema and learn from them for avoid their better technics next tournment. The japanese sumo press has defined him like "very dangerous" one year ago yet. Goeido, we know, is a young genius of the Dohyo. (Uwatenage...)

Ahahah...In Italy I've tried to make Sumo bouts on the beach with my friends! Many years ago! Before than Tamakairiki's idea! Anyway...Have you seen Sonatine? A famous Kitano's movie? If you'll see it, you'll understand Sumo on the beach is an old idea... (Uwatenage...)

New Bulgarian rikishi in Tagonoura beya

This is not correct. To gain Makushita tsukedashi you need to have won one of four specific Japanese amateur sumo tournaments. More information is here Thanks a lot! I didn't know about this specific rule! I thought about a generic condition. Thanks a lot for this info!
