I have never understood this line, in this forum?... Doesn't the fun start after the Banzuke is posted?...
-
Mage has nothing to do with it. It's the size of your cock, and not the size of your hair, that counts... Trust me... P.S. I know.My post is in bad taste and should be banned or something,right?... Sumoforum, for the Puritans only...
-
It's Baseball,so only two or three species/countries on Earth care... Basball is dull and is doomed!!!!...
-
As the header implies...

The biggest problem is that the Japanese know nothing and the gaijin know everything... Gaijin are so strong...

Taiwhatever, Nice avatar... Pity it is not sharp...

No doubt...It's a very poor publication, now. I hope somebody can pull it together, but I doubt Newton has enough respect or ability to pull a shoe-lace. Enjoy it while it lasts... P.S. I haven't received a single copy since December 1999.Nor have I received any explanation.I think that Newton has realized that the subscription money has dried-up.So now a issue or two has come out... Be skepetical(very)...

Bloody hell...A drunk rikishi... Ignore/disregard everything,I say...

Haven't posts been deleted from this thread?... Come on...get some BALLS and BRAINS...

Oh come on! Don't be stupid... There is is a fairly constant number of homosexuals in all walks of life. In Sumo, and indeed Japan,it is not a big deal as people are not bound by Biblical ideals. You do or you don't, and nobody cares much, and why the fuck would you?... What a stupid waste of space(whoever started this thread should be ashamed).

I am not surprised. The politics in this place suck. It's one shit fight after the other. People really think that this forum makes them something. What a great joke!!! The Sumo still goes on,though...

Jap's today are followers more than ever. I work with Japanese every day, except weekends, right! Most of my work friends know I am into sumo and only the relatively old except it.Most of my Japanese friends can not get their heads around the fact that I enjoy Sumo. They ask "don't you like Baseball and/or Soccer?" The young Jap's can not appreciate Sumo because they have been forced away from it all their lives. They do not think as individuals at all. If a school group goes to the Sumo on an excursion then they scream and yell but if you ask them after then most would say that they do not like it. They act and react as they are expected to; a bunch of robots, for the most. Young Japanese do not like Sumo at all. They are conditioned to think like this. To the young Japanese, Sumo is like synchronized swimming. So why would there be a strong Japanese wave about to crash upon Sumo's shore? For the most, only poor gaijin care enough to feed the lower ranks. ps This post is only for the impartial and if it isn't to late according to the twits who know.

In Australia we say "it's all Japanese to me". PS This post is only for the impartial.

Piss-off Asashosakari, like you had anything better to do with the ten minutes anyway... We are all able to discern old from new information. For buggery sake just scroll or tab to the end if you are in the least bit interested.Otherwise leave it alone. What is with this need to stop people posting ? It's all info even if YOU don't think so. The point of a forum is for as many people to contribute to as many topics as possible, isn't it? Post in any bloody thread from any bloody time you like and don't allow yourself to be muzzled. This isn't a club with tight entry, its a forum on the web for fuuck sake.

Sakari, Is that it.--That little piss-fart.--It's no wonder that you desire to keep it "clean",because you know, you just couldn't cut it if discussion turned to more serious matters. Let me point out why your posts above are pure drivel:You say that this place is private property and so anything goes.WRONG! Peoples rights are never negated by ownership and are the premise of the individual and not of a country as a whole. If this place where a country then which one would it be? Look into what Democracy really means before you post such guff, again. Your most recent post in relation to me seems to be building "straw men" and Freudian projection for the most part and there really isn't much there. In relation to this Mod thing--You didn't put your hand up because your delicate, populist character could barely handle the rejection, when it came. If your Australian friend says things like that , in front of you often, then he is probably trying to give you a hint--Get it! This "week old post" nonsense,is just that, nonsense.I can understand the etiquette if it was buried three pages back, but it wasn't.It was top page.Even so ,I strongly believe that if a person has an opinion and they wish to air it then pulling up a post from five years ago would be OK.I am sure you choose to have a different view on that.Until it suit you otherwise. Unfortunately,I see problems like we have on this forum,at times, all over the net.Probably 1 in 10 forums have more than their fair share of fascist like participants.I think it is sad and not in the least profound.--Hang on! My true thoughts do not suit your purpose,do they? Tis true that I do have a tendency to point out the obvious,though.--Your post here are pure crap(at the risk of repeating myself). You really think that you are some type of authority,here.In-fact,you are just a regular punter like the rest of us.Except you are more willing to try to bully and belittle others in some crazed hope of elevating your self. You really think this is some type of popularity contest.Grow up. Get over yourself...

I was coming to the feedback forum to post about this very thing, but I see good old Adachinoryu is way ahead of me. No offense Manekineko but;"Locked just in case",what is that? I know we have young members, and delicate flowers and such, but, this level of moderation is way excessive.Maybe, if people are being truly offensive and promoting hatred then fair enough, however, mentioning sex in a most comical sense and the "locked just in case"??? Asashosakari, You truly do speak some crap.If you ever became a mod here, then this place would turn into Asashosakari's Forum and stop being Sumo Forum. I know...I am a martyr, right? Please, bring-on another of your infantile tirades.I am not delicate and will NOT call for the thread to be closed...

The first time I came to Japan, not to long ago,in '98,people would smoke in cafes and resturants but on the streets it was a no-no.I was suprised to see people using personal ashtrays and sitting down when smoking. In the short space of time, from then to now,Tokyo has become an ashtray.Butts everywhere and poeple lighting-up any place they please, barring in the trains and office.Every other place is fair game. I am not a smoker and dislike heavily affected places but I have not found the Kokugikan to be to bad. Man,if they banned drinking beer,I would have a strong opinion...
-
Anyone willing to sponsor one (1) Finn to see senshuraku bouts live at Kokugikan in order to form a more thoroughly understanding of what sumo bout at makuuchi level is all about! I would prefer the 3rd row! (In a state of confusion...) Kaisan, Right at this point, it is a little... In the near future though, and should you wish to kip on a couch or floor. Lets see how we go shall we?

Doit, The old "I know more than you do" games. Thats good.It takes me back to primary school. Tis not a race or competition.Just expressing my views. Doit, it could well be that you are wrong. It could well be, that being at a basho does indeed give a person much knowledge that another person watching from across the world is not privy to.Some things you just need to experience in person to get a full appreciation. If you haven't been then I doubt you could fully understand, lets say, Kotomitsuki barreling into somebody and getting it just right. It makes your jaw drop and you forget about your beer for a time.It is something.I know it is not the same on the tele.Live, you can feel the impact. The slap reverberates through you.If you don't mutter a slurred expletive the first time, then you must be in a beer-coma. So I think being there gives a better idea of how a rikishi does things. Its locked in your mind by experience rather than read knowledge. You get a better fell for each rikishi. They become visceral and three dimensional. Not to say that watching from your armchair is not enjoyable. It is.I know that felling too.But I doubt there is a sumo fan who would not prefer to be there ,and I doubt he would go away saying he hasn't learned more about sumo or at least has a greater appreciation for it. I too have read much about Hagi prior to this basho and a bit before, but, I just thought a spot-light on the guy might be warranted, here.I suppose he is just another hopeful with promise really. Patronize you,Doit-No never, your the man. edit:mane, I saw your post after I had gone to the trouble.I have finished with this anyway. Kaisan, You seem to put well what I was getting at with his style. I wasn't comparing Hagi,Shoryu and Sakari in style or dohyo performance wise though.Just as a measure of how people react to their presence. It isn't all the fans, just yet ,but the groupies who gather to watch the sekitori enter the pit by the side entrance. They went bonkers.

Zui, It's just the way he has overpowered the most respected men in sumo. There was no indication til this point that he could badly trounce the joi-jin in such a manner.I suppose it could be honest improvement and perhaps it is?However my money is on gear. It's looked so bloody easy, for the most part.Just so much excess power. It's just so sudden. Its a bit like suddenly running a 10. for the hundred after running 11.5s or 12. even. A more minor point;in the first week he looked a bit apprehensive in the interviews too.As if he was hoping to avoid a question or something. Not much really.Doesn't mean much. I doubt I am the first person to think this way.Just the first to say so here. Just my most humble opinion.I am not preparing for court nor could I.Just exchanging an honest opinion.

I have said what I wanted to say. I have no opinions on the critical point and therefore no fear of being lynched. Hokutoriki can expect no libelous statements from me. Sorry if you find that disappointing. Its not a newspaper or TV program, its a web forum. I doubt very much that my or anybodies opinion here means anything in the broad world.Tis most honorable that you do not wish to slander anybody.Good for you. Personally I will speak my mind or close to it, with-out much bull.Sometimes I do try to be subtle. I thought you were trying to agree, but I guess not? It's good either way. Asashosakari(here he comes again), A blast from the past.Funny you should feel the need to come to the rescue. Still stinging are you, after that embarrassing recant ?Sucking up and in a manner that only a true suck can.If not, I am not surprised. Get real, fella.Spare yourself. "Conspirzoid" and "truth to power"-give me a break. That type of thing I did cover in High School. Give your tired legs, soul or whatever a rest.Your bite at the cherry is over, buddy. I really don't care much, keep at it if you like, mate. I do wish people might lighten up a bit.Try to view things in a different light and stop taking things so bloody seriously.I will start first. Its not a race to be the worlds greatest and most respected sumo fan.Its just a forum about sumo.Nobody is slandering anybody. Is just a forum where people exchange opinions.Nothing more.My opinion in this place does not constitute slander and nobody is libel for them. Not in this place that is for sure.I suppose you may find somebody who would argue? We'll see...

Doit, You seem a little upset. For your info I am living in Tokyo,Doit.Thats how I can get to basho and keiko,Doit. Did you get to this basho,Doit? Don't freak-out but I don't think to many English speaking people in other parts of the world caught OZUMO this month,Doit. Is nice that you did though,Doit. Is not a secret that this boy is hot,thus... Yes,Doit.I must have missed Hagi's power from my A seat.Perhaps it was lost in his elegance or I was caught up with my mag.You would know though.Seeing as you are a far greater expert than me. He is only 17.Wow! I had no idea. You guru you... What I was trying to convey is that this fella is causing close to as much stir as Shoryu or Misakari, with the die-hards.True he doesn't have the broad appeal of Misakari or Shoryu but I wasn't prepared for his reception with the groupies. Was something else. You probably need to experience it to understand what I am getting at.Maybe you have, Doit? Anyway, back to the main ring hey?

On Hagiwara in general.Having watched him a couple of times live from the pit and every day on the tele. I would say he seems a very simple rikishi. Hagiwara does not seem to be doing to much but wins anyway.Seems...not easy but...I dont know...perhaps relaxed, is the best way I could descibe it. I suppose the crowd don't really know him yet, apart from the fanatics, and he is only a promise at this point but he comes with a kinda understated elegance.I would love to watch him at keiko. A Hagiwara watch might be in order, seeing as he has such promise? I know the hard core groupies at the pit have high expectations because when he rocked-up, the fans on entrance watch went into a frenzy. These are hard core.died in the wool fans.True they can get into a flap over Akinoshima walking through a side door but still, this was something else. Shit,I am wanted on the phone. Later,

A "spent force"-not so sure about that. It depends on your time-frame I suppose.

If we had all the facts then we wouldn't be speculating. I do understand your apprehension. Say exactly what you think anyway. I promise you will not be lynched.
