"Woman, bring me a beer!!"

"Get one yerself you moron!! It's 3 am!!"

"My best two weeks every two months is starting.. you know how I get when the basho starts.."

"There you go again making up words that sound Japanese.. What was it last time? Kichikichi? Doesn't even sound Japanese.."

"Kachikoshi, woman!! Do you not listen? Anyhow, just let me login to watch the matches-Do you know Harumafuji is kyujo?"

"Who's Cute Joe? Another one of your fat friends??'

"Ahhh... God, could you not send me a wife who knows what a dohyo-iri is??"

"I heard that.. I may not like sumo but deaf I'm not.."

"OK,. go back to sleep-it's starting.. Firing up my VLC, and here we go.. In a second.. A few more maybe.. Hmmm.. This is taking awfully long.. you can usually count on the forum guy to post the right links.. Hmmm.. What's that? Click for English?? COOOL!! English commentary now!! OK!!!! Hmmm.. Huh? Wha?? WHAT??????? NOOOOOOOOOOO!!! $%%%&^$%#$%$ 120 bucks for the whole basho??? What are they, nuts? I can get a yearly pass for Baseball for $120. I can get the best hooker in Vegas for $120!!"

"What did you just say?? Herbert???"

"Go back to sleep, it's all a bad dream.. a nightmare.. What the heck am I going to do now?? I can't go through the month without my fix.. I'm logging into the sumoforum- they always have a solution.. Hmm.. Wow, 230 posts on the subject.. "

After an hour, wife walks in. "Herbert, what happened? Why are you crying? Is it because of the beer?"

"No.. My life is over. I have nothing to live for.."

"Is it about the rickshaw?"

"The rikishi!! THE RIKISHI!! You bet your very generously ample ass it is!! The Kyokai decided to charge for the stream!!!"

"Is this about fishing now? Which stream?"

"Oh, forget it, you will never understand.. Only a select few understand.. Next thing Kisenosato won't get his tsuna.."

"Oh, so it IS about fishing!! Red tuna? White tuna?'

"Where's my gun?? Where's my freakin' gun?"

"You don't own a gun, unless you call your grandson's water pistol a gun. I can fetch it for you from the garage.."

"##$%%^^&R^&**&^*$#$%^!!!!!"

"I'm going back to sleep.."

Ten minutes later.

"At least I can start work on my GTB guess for Haru.. But I miss the guys.. what shall I do??"

Fast forward to 15 days later. Herbert saw all the sumo he could handle, with slomo and replays and comments and more digests than he could imagine.

The moral of the story: "It ain't over till the fat guy goes kyujo."

Yes, It''s time to enter your GTB March 2014 guesses!!

Rules: Guess the Banzuke. Simple.

Tiebreakers - Most total guesses, then, we check the banzuke backwards - getting the lower half right will be more important now. The most correct guesses in the last ten places will win the tiebreaker. If still tied , we go up a ranking at a time like a penalty shootout. Then we thank Araibira.
It's up to you to check if you are on the list of entries. It's going to be your fault if you don't notice that your entry went missing in the Internet void.  No late entries will be accepted .

What do you get when you cross an insomniac, an agnostic and a dyslexic?

A guy who is up all night arguing with himself over whether or not there is a dog.

Went to put my entry in, and realized I was a week off. First time missing GTB in 89 bashos. 😢

What a shame, missing your 90th consecutive GTB :

And this was an easy one ;-)

I really should have entered my very first draft, (78 points) instead of my 6th draft, which "only" counts 70 points (Sigh...)

Yes, in the box now -winner- Gooner for the fourth time-wow!! Congratulations. The correct number of Sekiwake separated the men from the mice this time. Only 58 players which is really sad. I shall be selling the game soon to underworld figures.

Milestones:

Actual game runner Andoreasu-70th basho

Bafa-60th basho

Manatsumai-60th basho

Ketsukai-50th basho

Mmikasazuma-50th basho

Asojima-50th basho

Wamahada-30th basho

You can see how you did here.

Thanks for playing and now, on with the Ba-show!!

Sumo is a very good thing. Though better with affordable video.

Flipping Myogiryu and Gagamaru at the last minute lost it for me, sigh.

Not smoking, but drinking!

Drinking lots of Sake when creating the Banzuke helps a lot, as the real committee also sometimes does it like this :-S

A couple of changes to the top ten this time, and two of our Japanese players are the fall guys. Tosahayate drops out after a four-basho stint in the top ten, while Momijibasi's eight-basho run comes to an end with him even dropping out of the top 20. Replacing them are one returnee and one newcomer. Jakusotsu returns after scoring 59 points in his 59th basho - no doubt he hopes that will be the start of a trend. And Pandaazuma joins the fray for the first time.

Susanoo clocks up his 40th basho inside the top ten ranks. Feginowaka's consecutive run extends to 18 basho; yusho winner Gooner is next with a run of eight basho.
