Ex- Akinoshima and current Sendagawa will be inheriting Takadagawa beya next August. Although the current oyakata will be retiring in two years, he decided to hand over the heya so " he can get accustomed to running things". "I learned to use my strength from Futagoyama Oyakata and my wisdom from Takadagawa Oyakata. I'd like to bring up strong Japanese rikishi", he said.
"Love is like ipponzeoi. The rarer it is the more exciting it is."
